COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An imperial sweet stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs, which is then aged in bourbon barrels. This beer is brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller our generous friend from Copenhagen, Denmark. What you have here is a modest attempt to emulate the experience of biting into a chocolate-covered cherry candy. We hope you enjoy it but you never know what you’re gonna get.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar
Aroma is sweet but somewhat straightforward with soy sauce, licorice. Flavour has salty licorice, soy sauce, some coffee and distangt rubbery tones. Hides the ABV rather well. Perhaps a bit too salty and I also expect more richness with ABV like this. Starts to feel more rich when this warms up. Bourbon steps forward.

lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 1, 2014
Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Extremely black pour with a beige head. Aroma of roastiness, molasses, chocolate and grass. Rich flavour of dark bitter chocolate, wooden notes, elegant sherry notes, biscuit and licorice. Full bodied and oily mouthfeel. Heavy and enjoyable.

Tried this at Hunahpu ’14 at some point. Brief note: roasted, chocolate, caramel, milky, boozy, dark fruit, bourbon. - 7.6

pentaz (1264) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 30, 2014
Draught at Mikkellerbar, Viktoriagade. Pours pitch black with a tiny light brown head. Aroma is lots of chocolate, cherries, wood, dark sugars, fudge, caramel, medium dark bread. Taste is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Body is full, texture is smooth and sticky, carbonation is very soft. Finishes very sweet with cherries, chocolate and dark fudge. This is a very nice treat indeed and almost surprisingly drinkable. The sweetness easily overpowers the sourness from the cherries but it’s a nice laid-back flavour-rollercoaster ride.

Habanero (4795) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - APR 29, 2014
Tap. Pours pitch black with a tiny, tan head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt chocolate, caramel, wood, licorice and bourbon notes. Sweet flavor that ends up slightly more dry with alcohol and a hint of bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft to flat carb. A great impy.

Tap at the Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Poured a deep mahogany with a small round bubbly tan head. The aroma is rich chocolate, roasted malt, molasses and coffee. The flavour is medium to strong sweet with a rich sweet malt chocolate cake, alcoholic spicy light liqourice palate and a long sweet bitter finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation and and oily mouthfeel. A real treat indeed.

SlackerMads (3467) - DENMARK - APR 29, 2014
Tap. Pitch black with a small light brown head. Lots of sweet dark chocolate, light cherry, molasses, vanilla, over ripe fruit. Full body, thick sticky texture, soft near flat carbonation, heavy sweet and medium bitter with some cherry acidity. Big and sticky, but no little alcohol prescence and quite pleasant.

Thanks to my boy Weezel. Pour dark and has that awesome boozy chocolate aroma I love. Cherries come out in palate. Gets better as it gets warm.

Deep black our with a hunt of blood red glistening through. Aromas of cherries, cola, vanilla, and slight alcohol. Taste is super thick and luscious with big cherry flavor. This is followed by more cola, raspberries, chocolate and bitter coffee. Unbelievable.
