110K+ OT Batch #2 is an Imperial Stout dry hopped with Mt. Rainier hops and aged on toasted Spanish Cedar. I.R.I.S. stands for India Russian Imperial Stout and while this brew is still all stout right down to its hefty body, it is hopped a great deal more than our standard stout offerings. The extra punch of kettle hops balances the rich chocolate and malt notes and the Mt. Rainier dry hopping adds slight licorice notes while the cedar contributes to a moderately spicy, burnt and bitter finish. 11.4% ABV. Bottling run 87, 12 bottle cases. 110K+OT Batch #2 I.R.I.S. is a capped 750ml

Slightly hoppy aroma, followed by cedar and chocolate. Nice on the palate, it’s aged well. Dryer, not a lot of sweetness, moderate bittering. Pretty good.

Bottle split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Pitch black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is light smoke, dark malts, black peppery spice, toffee, light oxidised notes. Taste comprises sticky toffee pudding, dark fruit rinds, molasses, toffee fudge, cocoa sprinkle, dates. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Decent enough impy but starting to lose its touch with age.

Complex aroma, ashy, char, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, hints of dark fruit, caramel. Good flavor, rich, ashy, dark chocolate, coffee, touches of dark fruit and acidity, mild oxidation. Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of licorice, smoke, mint, wood, booze and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with notes of raw sugar, licorice and chocolate. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Quite rotten, but good.

Bottle at RBWG 2016. Nose is an amazing tar and leather with a hint of smoke. Pitch black with a brown head molasses as it warms. Taste is just as amazing. Just a thick viscous luscious ebony dream. Light smoke, anise, some pepper. Grate

Bottle thanks to northernbrews for sharing. Black pour with a small creamy head that fades to a thin ring. Aromas are chocolate syrup, alcohol, tobacco, and light roast. Tastes like raisins and tobacco mostly, some chocolate and caramel sweetness. Noticeable oxidation. Slightly spicy and woody finish. I bet this was better a few years ago.

From notes. Tasted some time near the fall of 2012 from a capped 750mL bottle, big thanks to zathrus13 for the trade way back in the day. Pours completely thick, oil black with a thin brown head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is roasted with dark chocolate, tons of molasses and cocoa nibs. The flavor is sweet with molasses and a touch of vanilla up front with a ton of super roasted bitterness from coffee and dark chocolate on the back of the palate. The body has that signature Cigar City full, rich creaminess, with light carbonation and a long, super roasted bitter finish.
