Chalsk (1104) - North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - SEP 4, 2011
Pours a deep amber brown color with an off white foam head. Aroma of dark fruit and booze. Malty sweet. Boozy. Missing much needed complexity.

Leighton (21489) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2011
Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co., London. Pours dark, ruby-brown with an off-white head. Some dark malt, dark sugars, caramel in the aroma. Damn sweet flavor, lots of toffee, dark fruits, fruit jam. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warm finish, tons of sugar, jammy fruits, raspberry, brown sugar, toffee, caramel, and toasty, sweet malts. Very good, big-time beer.

craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 3, 2011
750ml. pours a deep red with a 1 finger off white head. light nose with residual sugars, light caramel malts, raisin and soft piney hops. medium body with a smooth caramel malt body with light apple notes, raisin, and toffee. a light citrus bitterness lingers. fruit filled finish with sticky hops and sweet caramel malts with lingering chocolate and sugar.

harrisoni (18809) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2011
Bottle on Angs birthday. hazy russet lasting beige head. Hop fruit and wood on aroma. Some biscuit in mouth.I like the sweetness on this. Reminds me of something like a over t from HogsBack. Likeable

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2011
A Mes rate. Bottle at Ang’s birthday tasting at the craft.
Red amber body with a good off white head. Full on sugar and caramel. Really over the top. Just sweet and corny with a hint of baked beans. Cheap American chocolate character too that does it no favours. Sorry guys, really no liking this one too much.

boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Bottle (thanks to Beerlando for this one)... Poured deep red with an off-white head. Quite sweet and worty. A slightly oxidized character but was in the threshold of quite enjoyable. I like oxidization a little bit so it didn’t bother me there. Tobacco, tropical fruits, sweet tea tones, floral hops, and the alcohol was well masked for it’s strength.

TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2011
25.4 oz bottle. Deep purple brown with splattered beige foam. Nose is dates, bubblegum and bananas Foster with hints of marmalade. Almost full body with fine carb providing a zing as it tails off. Taste is toffee, cherry vanilla, grapefruit and unripe peach. Not as sweet as it smells with hops adding just enough bitter citrus peel.

MaltOMeal (1094) - Land of Sugar, Texas, USA - AUG 31, 2011
Bottle shared by zinister at August Houston RB Tasting. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Nose is of roast malt, cola and cigar tobacco. Taste is of chocolate and malt. Mouthfeel is medium and mouth-coating with alcohol noticeable. Pretty good.

Nickls (2540) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Tap, CK. Murky reddish muddy brown with a medium tan head. Grapefruity and resinous hops with a lot of raisins and maltiness in the aroma. Very resiny in the taste, pine, and lacquer. Medium, very sticky body. Warming and pretty tasty, but a bit much after a while.

brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 29, 2011
A: The beer pours a dark amber color with a light haze and a finger of soapy, off-white head. S: Very, very malty and sweet. Lots of caramel and toffee with a strong milk chocolate note to it as well. There’s just a hint of vanilla along with some mild citrus and pine hop notes. T: The flavor is quite similar to the aroma. Intensely malty and sweet with tons of caramel and toffee. A light toasted bread note along with milk chocolate and faint citrus (tangerine) hop flavors. Almost no bitterness to speak of. M: Medium to full bodied with a medium level of carbonation. O: Tasted good, but a small pour was more than enough for me.
