COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale brewed with Curacao peel.

Sometimes a lot isn’t nearly enough. For the times when a lot plus a bit more is called for we proffer the 110K+OT series. This 5th iteration is a 25 OF, 5 FG, 11% abv, 5 SRm sort of brew. If you don’t know what all that jargon means the gist of this is; it’s more than you deserve. A lot more. And a little more than that too

Bottle shared at Craft by Scopey - nice one Paul! Hazy amber beer, small cream coloured head. Smooth semi dry palate turning softer. Lovely rich tangy orange. Sweet and sour. Orange liquer. Orange peel. Rich orange marmalade. Mild minerals. Smooth finish. A lovely rich orangey treat!

Bottle shared at CBC First Birthday, London - many thanks to Paul! Pours mostly clear, rich gold with a sturdy, white foam head. Nose holds a lot of malts, some caramel, some ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor, super sugary, lots of toffee and caramel, very mild leafy hops, honey. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Big sweet finish, quite warming, some caramel, bread, honey. Very mellow pine, plenty of sugar. It’s a hugely sweet beer.

mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 2, 2012
750mL bottle, sent from Gillard (thanks a lot, Ryan), pours an opaque dark orange with a small beige head. Nose is very fruity and sugary, --more sugary than hoppy for a IIPA--, with notes of grapefruit, mango, candied sugar, resinous hops and a big sweet caramel malt backbone. Flavour matches almost identically, with loads of caramel malt sweetness, some grapefruit, some other tropical fruits and then a blast of resinous hops - finishes lightly bitter and quite sugary and fairly boozy. Way more malt-forward than a superior IIPA should be, but it’s still drinkable. Far from refreshing and more like a thick, syrupy barley wine, but still quite enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with off white head. Nose/taste of orange cream, orange peel, caramel, molasses, syrup and alcohol. Medium body. Slightly bitter hops in finish.

brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Sweet and malty nose with tons of caramel and toffee. There’s a mild booziness to it, a bit of fruity hops, and a floral note. The flavor is similarly sweet and malty. Lots of caramel, bread, and toffee. Light citrus notes, some peach, a bit of pine, and some alcohol. Maybe a light floral hop character, too. Very minimal bitterness.

Scopey (15500) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine Ft Lauderdale. It pours clear amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is massive citrus, pot pourri, floral and sweet tangy orange. The taste is sweet orange citrus fruit, pot pourri, resin, alcohol warmth, tangy, spice and marmalade. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Slightly sticky mouth-feel and perhaps a touch too sweet. Not bad.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a floral hops, caramel, mango, and pine. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet caramel malt, grapefruit, and nice sweet finish. Tastes more like a barley wine than a IIPA.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured clear copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy, citrus, floral hop aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation and soft alcohol bite at the finish. Standout brew.
