Growler to taster at the RBWG Grand Tasting (shared by burg326, who made the beer - thanks Adam!). Looks good; pitch black with mocha lacing. Smells and tastes solid; dark malt and roast with a hint of cherry. Good on the palate too. Good beer. mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Growler at RBWG from Adam himself. Aroma of a sweet stout. Very light on cherries, almost medicinally. Still not a bad base stout. Enjoyable. MaltOMeal (1094) - Land of Sugar, Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2012

First thanks to the Brass Tap and Cigar City for letting me have the opportunity to brew this beer for winning a contest at The Brass Tap. Second, thanks to Ben, he was my handler for the day and I was able to learn a lot for my first all grain brewing experience. Had this many times at Cigar City and The Brass Tap, poured a dark black color with aromas of coffee, chocolate, some roast, earth, and feint, I mean feint cherry. Big flavors of chocolate and coffee, at the back end there is a slight robitussin cherry cough syrup. You have to really look for the cherry flavor, but as you have 3 or 4 of them in a sitting it is more noticeable, could also just the alcohol playing with my brain telling me it is there. Personally I think this took a prime duce on the cherry flavor and was hoping there would be more, but overall a solid stout and would love to brew this again. I know I might be overrating this beer, but it was mine.

Aroma of glorious stout: coffee, pralines, and a little hint of iron. Pours black with a bright brown lace. Taste is marvelous and roasty. Roast coffee and malts shine through with just the slightest twinge of sour cherry towards the end. Fantastic stout. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Tampa, Fl - on tap at the CCB Tasting Room. Tar-black pour, thick mocha colored head, nice lacing. Aroma has some fresh black potting soil, a bit of espresso and some creosote. Flavor has licorice notes, a bit of creosote, chicory, bitter unsweetened chocolate, but lacking in any cherry presence. Nice chalky mouthfeel. Nice. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Snifter pour at the brewery. Dark and rich with a full finger tan head. Aroma is dry, light cherry, lightly roasted malts, and somewhat bitter. Flavor is malty up front, roasted malts at that, cherries and some dark chocolate. Light smoke, sorta. Not my favorite stout from them but not a bad one either. Drinkable and enjoyable, but only one for me. weihenweizen (3831) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 20, 2012
Pours coal black with medium brown head. Some lacing, thick body, and roasted malt aroma. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, some cherry , and a bitter hop finish. Cherry doesn’t dominate and I enjoyed this one. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2012
This stout was rich and dark with a tan head as well. The aroma was light and fruity with a robust roasted end. Cocoa and coffee notes for flavors were the strengths of this stout, with a hint of cherry tart lingering in the finish.
