750 ml bottle courtesy of CraftBeerDesign (thanks Geoff) poured a hazy orange amber with a samall lingering ivory head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, grapeftruit zest, lemon zest and yeast. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, yeast, lemon zest and light earthiness with a smooth dry bitter finish. youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Draft at World of Beer, served in a snifter. Amber pour, creamy off-white head that hangs around. Aroma of malt, vanilla, some hops. Taste is like a less-sweet cream soda - caramel, a little saltiness (so, salted caramel, I suppose), slight hops bite. Kind of all over the place. Enjoyed it but probably wouldn’t pick it over any number of CCB beers. Borresteijn (7412) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2012
75cl Bottle at UDRBM, ABV 9%. Clear copper amber colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, candy, toasted malts, light hops. Flavour is light buttery, sweet, light fruity, butter candy, light hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Decent, easy drinking beer. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2012

Clean golden body and medium off white head. Concentrated sweetness, sticky fruits, almonds and classic appeal. Straightforward sweet ale. Nice aroma, good but standard taste. (UDRBM)

Bottle at UDRBM. Clear amber pour, thin white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, some spices and hops. Flavor is bitter hops, ripe fruits, spices and a nice malty base. Decent balance, but a bit boring brew. Palidor19 (3193) - Brandon, Florida, USA - NOV 18, 2012
has a distance flavor of malt with touch of mild fruit and hint of spices. the beer is thick in the palate and has lots of character. its worth your time and money . nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 18, 2012
The aroma is sweet and fruity with a ginger ale quality. The appearance is orange gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a tart and bitter finish. The palate is average. I like this beer but it’s not great. beergodd1 (400) - Conneaut, Ohio, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Pours a semi-cloudy golden orange with a white head and creamy lacing. vanilla and citrus dominate the nose. this is backed up by a slight though noticeable grassy hop element. the flavor is a little sweet with a decent bitter finish. Almost a hint of corn/grainy taste, but smooth and very drinkable. Excellent mouthfeel. creamy, one might even say velvety. A decent though very laid back beer. Thanks to the friendly person who brought this with them from Florida. Trying new Cigar City beers is always something that seldom disappoints. This particular release bills itself as a Double Cream Ale. it sort of hits that mark but personally I would have enjoyed it more if it were toned down a bit.
Aroma / Appearance - The semi-transparent caramel base shimmers with clear sweeping legs for company. Concentrated cream soda tastes as if it came directly from the fountain without being dilluted by soda water. It is mellow and pretty well balanced.
Flavor / Palate - Polished bronze pennies, cream soda, and malt hit the palate with in a chewy rush. Dry and sweet it goes down far too smoothly for a beer that presumably is 8%+ ABV. I might not feel great if I drank a whole bottle by myself but it would not keep me from trying.
