Nice body and balance. Like a german ipa. Don’t get much adjunct flavor. Citrusy hops.

Got some light spice to it, quite sweet. This one wasn’t bad but certainly not my fav of CCB.

on tap @House of Beer–pours a retaining tight light tan head with amber color. Aroma is mild grain, some spice. Taste is grain/light malt/wheat-bready, slick/syrupy to start, spice, alcohol. Drying finish. Occasional.

PorterPounder (7894) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2010
Tallahassee, Fl - Proof - on tap. Dark orange pour, nice crisp white head. Hard to place aroma, pick up some fresh lake water accents. Flavor has some nice toffee accents, a bit of caramel, subtle booziness, Mouthfeel is thick and rich. Enjoyable.

Big swing top growler. Pours a glowing goldish fiery orange, good hazy, frothy soapy offwhite head with big bubbles dies to a nice film, laces pretty well for getting smaller and soapy. Aromas are cereal malts and corn flakes, sweet malts, light floral hopping, dry honey, a touch of citrusy orange. Mellow. Initial is pretty light bodied and mellow, a kick of alcohol matches cereal grains, light citrus and apricot, cereal and corn flakes. A touch of bitterness, corny raw cereal malts. A touch of warmth. A vague beer, strong but easy going and quaffable. Cereal grains, bread, punches of citrusy orange and peach do come through, but the base grainy bready beer is a bit much.

Cigar city batch 69 cream ale... Pours a medium tangerine apricot brown with a thin soapy white head... Light graininess with some dried fruit along the grapey and apricot end of the fruit spectrum... Flavors are sweet and grainy with hints of light citrus and dried fruit. A little bit boozy sweeter through the middle and the finish. Light to mild earthy bitterness in the finish. 7/4/7/3/14

On tap at the Charleston Brewvival on 02/27/2010. Cloudy orange body with a small creamy white head. Big floral and caramel aroma. Sweet grassy and floral flavor. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Draft at Cigar City. The pour yields a c loudy, dark orange colored body and topped by a small, smooth head of off white colored foam that leaves some jagged lines of lace on the glass. The aroma shows notes of heavy cream, bananas, sweet bread dough, and plenty of crisp, clean grains. Some spicy floral hops add a touch of bitterness while the alcohol let’s you know this one packs a punch. The flavor follows with creamed corn and sweet glazed bread up front followed by some bananas and some floral hop bitterness. Nearly full bodied and creamy on the mouthfeel as expected and plenty of carbonation with a nice warming finish from all the booze. This is a nice take on the style for sure, but just not that exciting for me.

Growler by way of hopscotch...Cloudy orange pour with a really thin head...Aroma is a fruity sweetness with some alcohol...Flavor is very sweet with a long bitterness. Very heavy mouthfeel. Not sure what the abv is on this thing is but I’m sure its pretty decent. Tasty.
