Growler pours crystal clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The aroma is sweet with citrus candy and tangelo Kool-aid (if such a thing exists), some ripe plums, orange sherbet and some spicy hops. The taste is sweet with rich orange sherbet ice cream, some spicy hops, mild grainy malts, a touch of sweet corn kernels, growing citrus and pine hop bitterness. It ends with a lingering citrus sherbet ice cream sense, a bit of grains and quickly fading hop bitterness. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2010
On tap at Capone’s. Poured a medium to deeper golden color with with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, and pine. Tastes of citrus, some caramel, floral, and fruity. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 6, 2010
On tap at Hawthornes, part of Philly beer week. Nice aroma from a golden clear pour with a small head. The flavor is nice and malty with a hop finish. Very creamy and refreshing on this hot afternoon. egajdzis (6580) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2010
[Capones and Village Whiskey] Hazy dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malts, citrus, peach, vanilla, pine, and light floral hops. Taste of toast, vanilla, pine, grapefruit, peach and tropical fruits, with a dry finish. Both locations poured a different beer, and I wonder if Capones had the Peach version on. It sure tasted like it. patrickfannon (1241) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2010
Draft at Capone’s for the Cigar City tasting with James. Pours a slightly hazy orange/copper with a thin, lacy white head. Aroma of freshly juiced oranges, grapefruit, honey, lavender, and bitter hops. Medium bodied with a tight, slightly tart palate. Finishes with a burst of citrusy sweetness. Awesome American strong.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours a bright copper body with slight haze. Aroma is light with notes of citrus, orange peel, and soap. Mouthfeel is light and smooth with otes of cedar in the finish. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2010
The aroma is a little more like an ESB, a bit sweet and spicy but subtle overall. The dark golden color has a nice white head. The flavor is pleasant on the palate with some bitter and sweet hop notes blending nicely together. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAY 4, 2010

Draft. Pours light yellow with a small white head. Definitely a cream ale but with considerably more boozy notes. Clean finish. Solid session beer. Beerapprentice (208) - Doylestown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2010
On cask at R n H. Pours a murky iced tea brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma of tangy citrus, and possibly some mango. I’m not sure why it’s called double cream ale because of the citrus flavour and hops. Better than the other cask beers during cigar city week at R n H.
