Lukaduke (3050) - Gray, Maine, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Pours a hazy dull brown color with a fluffy foam... On the nose its big round and boozy, with rich brown sugar, molasses, a touch of earthy barrel notes and even some smokey peat. The palate is much of the same with rich mouthfeel and soft balance with flavors. The bourbon is definitely upfront but there is enough complexity in the bourbon and base beer for the final product to be pleasing and worth seeking out !

Deep cola brown hue with a fat dissipating head, with a lovely aroma of brown sugar, bourbonny oak, caramel, a touch of coconut and deep dark sugary malty booze. Big boozy and deep flavor that’s caramalty, loaded with bourbon and brown sugary coconut and dark malt, oak, and boozy brown sugar again. Just big and sweet and oaked and caramelly.

fluffy (2406) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2016
sampled at the 2016 brewers ball in tampa. not sure why more companies don’t put scotch ales in barrels-I think it works better than stouts and porters.
