Bottle thanks to John. Pours a dark brown with beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, booze, vanilla, and smoke. Thick mouthfeel with bourbon and nice roast in the finish. Really enjoyed this one.

Sample at the Jackie Os Bottle Sale on 08/27/2011. This brew is a murky reddish-brown color with a thin tan head that was nearly gone by the time the glass got to me. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of peaty malt, bourbon and vanilla. Rich body with an oaky bourbon character and notes of dark malts, vanilla and figs. The finish is earthy malt and bourbon. Good all around.

Something about this one didnt agree with me. MAripan and maraschino cherries dominate the smell. Flavor is sweet, boozy, but ultimately limp.

Clear winner of our horizontal tasting, thanks Tom. Big brown coloured beer. The bourbon is there and dominant, but it was well done.

My god CCB does it again. Amazing. Dark brown pour, tan head. Aroma is really wonderful. Tons of bourbon, toffee, vanilla, oak and dark dried fruit. Flavor is loaded with smooth oak and bourbon notes, some vanilla, caramel, light smoke and holy hell what a mouthfeel. This one is a big step up from the regular big sound. WOW. But what do I konw, I am just a homer.
