Sample at the Jackie Os Bottle Sale on 08/27/2011. This brew is a murky reddish-brown color with a thin tan head that was nearly gone by the time the glass got to me. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of peaty malt, bourbon and vanilla. Rich body with an oaky bourbon character and notes of dark malts, vanilla and figs. The finish is earthy malt and bourbon. Good all around.

Something about this one didnt agree with me. MAripan and maraschino cherries dominate the smell. Flavor is sweet, boozy, but ultimately limp.

Clear winner of our horizontal tasting, thanks Tom. Big brown coloured beer. The bourbon is there and dominant, but it was well done.

Sampled at the January 10 Metro Detroit tasting. Thanks to northernbrews again! Poured a very murky deep brown with a brown head. Aroma was quite boozy with some underlying dark grains and vanilla. Flavor was boozy as well with dark grains and some cereal notes. The beer was nice and slick on the tongue.
