UPDATED: OCT 5, 2009 Killer Scotch Ale. pours a deep amber/brown with some good lacing. Aroma is great, lots of burnt notes, toffee, vanilla, chocolate, and alcohol. Flavor is a great mix of dark and sweet chocolate, with lots of toffee notes as well. Some nice touches of sour cherry and caramel. Super rich, with a slight alcohol burn. I liked this one a lot. Thanks to Todd & Co. for sharing this in Denver! Smells insanely with vanilla, rich caramel malts, some nice notes of chocolate, and boozey as well. Flavor delivers much of the same, caramel, some chocolate, a touch of vanilla, and the booze aspect. Bottle. Special thanks to danielecurtis81 for sharing on his wedding week. Pours deep brown/bronze with a fading off-white head. Nose is sweet brown malt and spices with some yeast and is overall a little faint. Taste is a pleasant surprise with rich brown malt, excellent maple syrup, brown sugar and sweet & smooth. Huge thanks to ericandersnavy. Not a strong aroma, but very pleasing. Good malts, coffee, cocoa, biscuit. Aftertaste is warm and malty. Great stuff.
