750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma is very deep, with scotch, wood, toffee and caramel malts, and some dark fruits. Flavour is quite sweet, with toffee, sweet caramel and lots of sweet dark cherries. Not much of the scotch on the flavour, just a lot of rich caramel and highly sweet notes without being cloying. Very enjoyable slow sipper. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 25, 2009
Murky chestnut with a light head. Earthy nose is toffee and caramel richness. Soft, full, rich mouthfeel. Soft, chewy toffee notes, very sweet and lush. Hints of peat and wood. Well-balanced. TBone (17558) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 3, 2010

Dark nut brown color, decent steady beige head. Aroma has raisins, cellar and wood. Lots of alcohol, raisins, licorice, toffee. Long warming aftertaste. Strong Scotch Ale.
Bottle, Rating #3000. Very dark brown with big beige head. Flavour is roasted malts, spices, chocolate, fruit, hops, medium sweet, toffee, nutty, dried fruits and a little brett. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 12, 2011
Bottle, 75cl. A small, beige head forms and disappeares in a few seconds, with a more or less clear, dark reddish brown body underneath. Lightly bretted nose with dried fruits, caramel, some roasted hints and coffee. A bit too well carbonated, full to medium body, quite dry. Some residual sugars though, making sure it’s not too dry. Raisins, caramel, some generic dried fruits, coffee hints and sweetness. Hmm, I don’t think the funk is intended, it’s sure delicious in this way though, really delicious. A fine beer indeed. 111112
