COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Sound Scotch Ale is dedicated to our good buddy Gino, the most punk rock bagpiper you’ll ever meet, and the rest of the men and women of Tampa Bay Pipes and Drums. Brown in color, Big Sound has huge notes of dark sweet toffee with underlying mild notes of coffee in the aroma. The flavor starts with a slight note of cherry and then opens into a Goliath of a malt character with notes of dark sweet toffee, slight hints of coffee and mild notes of toasted bread in the finish. Big Sound Scotch Ale pairs well with Haggis, Highland Games, Huge Heads and Enormous Pillows and of course Bagpipe music.

Tap at Capone’s. Muddy, dark brown with a thin head. Aroma of brown sugar, toffee and dark fruit. Nice fruity finish of black cherry and fig. No smokiness but a great brew.

alteregoo (1445) - Kalisz, POLAND - JUN 24, 2017
Spory i niespodziewany (czytaj: byłem nieprzygotowany) gushing przy otwieraniu. Piana średnio obfita, szybko opada do zera, barwa brązowa, dość klarowna. Niskie wysycenie, pełne, oleiste i gładkie w odbiorze, lekko rozgrzewający alkohol w typie wzmacnianego, słodkiego wina, rumu.
Pozytywne zaskoczenie pod kontem aromatu i konsystencji. Bardziej w typie Backwoods Bastard niż Old Chub. Gdyby nie ten gushing...

Bottle at home. Taste is sweet, malty and roasted. Dried fruits and wood. Very nice mouthfeel. One of the better clean scotch ale!

BlazerT (1105) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Dosyć mocno naładowane słodami - karmel, czekolada, typowe Scotach Ale. Niby wszystko na miejscu, zgodnie ze stylem, ale bez fajerwerków. W tle lekkie nuty dymione.

650ml bottle from Beergium. Dark brown, cola coloured beer with very small and quickly vanishing head. Aroma has strong flavors of dark malts, bread, raisins and ripe fruits; plum mostly. Taste has malts, caramel, raisins, some ripe fruits and warming alchocol & sugar at the end. Moderate sweetness, medium carbonation and body. Reminds me a bit of stronger Belgium ales. Quite good.

Solid, very well made beer. Was expecting a bit more from Cigar, but still - it’s good enough.

Fruity butterscotch aroma. Taste is sweet and malty, very smooth with a bit of alcohol coming out just before the finish. Caramel finish

Dark mahogany color with light brown head. Aroma has intense dark fruits like dates and dried cherries. Taste starts also fruity with a hint of burnt sugar. Finishes really balanced. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a nice scotch ale, true to style and really well made.
