12oz bottle-big foamy tan-black with red tint. A-pine, then roasty/chocolate-med malt. T-dk fruit-cherry/plum/grape, pine hops,chocolate-med malt. AirForceHops (7679) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 19, 2012
12 oz. bottle in a trade with MikeLuke23. Thanks!! Tan head sticks to the side of the snifter, great retention. Dark brown / nearly black color. Cellar temperature gives me aromas of cherries, yeast and chocolate. The taste has a Belgian yeast flavor to go with the chocolate and roasted malts. Coffee notes with hints of licorice. Body is on the thin side. Texture is a light chalk or ash. Did they use a Belgian yeast with this brew? Because it reminds me of a Dubbel or stout. Overall the flavors are decent but what exactly is this trying to be? Not bad at all and the hidden ABV made this pretty easy to drink. joergen (28949) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2012

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruites, caramel, alcohol, and wood, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

mild roasted malty aroma, licorice.
flavor is roasted malts, spicy peppery note, licorice, Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 30, 2012
Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a dissipating beige head. Dark, dried fruit and a little roast in the nose. Medium body, heavy carbonation, quite roasty with a slight tartness, a vanilla touch too. Not that hoppy. A somewhat odd brew, closest to a - somewhat twisted - Stout. 301112 tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Sample pour, deep and dark with a light head. Nose is roasted malt and sweet/bitter chocolate... sharp and bitter coffee... Flavor is oxidized... Sharp and loose all at once. Not well put together. Maybe this sample was a little too old. Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 5, 2012
This beer is a cloudy brownish-black color with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied with flavors of bready malt, anise and black coffee. The finish is roasty coffee up front with a sweet malt and molasses aftertaste. Interesting story behind this one, and above average overall. JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - OCT 4, 2012
