3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Aroma had notes of smoke, chocolate, hops, mild roasted malts, licorice. Taste followed the nose well, but it got a little sweet at the end. Thick, almost stickey body. Good balance.
355 mL bottle. Stout brown. Smells like a stout. Tastes like an ASA. Resiny, citrussy hops, caramel malt. Good stuff. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2014

335ml bottle. She’s a gushaaaa. Infected and licoricey, this is jsut putrid stuff. Lectvay (191) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 9, 2014
Strange beer, but I really like it. I experience this mostly as an imperial stout. It’s got that sort of mouthfeel and roasty chocolate flavors. But the aroma is a little fruity and floral, and there’s just a hint of tartness. Hard to classify, but very enjoyable.

Bottle shared at the Big Friday Tasting, thanks again to LKS for showering us with yet more beer - not literally I hesitate to add, 03/01/14.
Dark mahogony brown with a good sized light tan covering.
Nose is light roasty notes, earthy, cocoa, toffee fudge, light spice.
Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, cocoa, earthy, cake mix, dark fruit, candided sugars, dark malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, touch of booze in the finish.
Ok drinkable affair but not too exciting and not enough depth for the ABV. madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2014

Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Sri’s beau for this one. Opaque dark brown beer, big pale tan head. Palate is crisp. Caramel malt, light oxidised vibe. Light spice. Little dried fruits. Light dry finish. Was expecting more from this.
Bottle thanks to leighton at the super-massive-mega tasting. It pours near black with a thick beige head. The nose is rich roast, toast, vanilla, ash, earth and liquorice. The taste is rich roasted malt, coffee, earth, toast, aniseed, vanilla, marshmallow, Rock Road and cocoa with sweetish finish. Medium+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Smooth, tasty and rather drinkable. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 4, 2014
Bottle shared at the big tasting. Cheers Leighton, always love me a Cigar City. Pours black with a\not much of a head. Nose is roasty and nutty, hint of leather and liquorice. A little boring and one dimensional. Taste is caramel biscuit, nutty, liquorice. Just a little too straight forward. Leathery and ashy. Not really my kind beer Leighton (21551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2014
Bottle shared in London with the Crew. Picked up at the brewery. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy beige head. The nose holds milk chocolate, burnt wood, dough, burnt marshmallows. Medium sweet flavor with dried berries, cocoa, dry fruit, slight leather, cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Fair sweetness to finish, so,e cocoa, dried dark fruits. Good stuff. Pretty drinkable.
