On cask for frickin friday at Cigar City. It poured a extremely hazy orange with some red highlights, reminded me of orange juice with pulp with grenadine added to it. Aromas of fresh citrus, pine, and a touch of hops, flavors were much the same. Tons of bitter aftertaste, and had some nice sentiment at the bottom of the glass. Interesting beer. On tap @ CCB. Dark tangerine pour with crimson at its core and a 1/4 inch eggshell head that left a spattering of lacing clinging to the inside of the glass. Aroma is bright, fragrant, and filled with ripe citrus. This one smells of freshly split orange, the rind newly removed, juice dripping from the pith. Let’s just say I was surprised when I didn’t have to spit out any seeds after drinking a glass! Flavor had a hard time keeping up but was still extremely enjoyable. Not a lot of depth...lacking other traditional IPA flavors such as pine. Quite drinkable at 7.5% ABV. Enjoyed this one!
