Dark pour with ruby highlights. Aroma has chocolate, nuts, some light fruit and raisins with a touch of sugar cookie. Flavor is sweet and roasted malts, balanced but light. Not a punch of blueberry but it is noticable. Pretty good but I would have liked to see more blueberry pancake type flavor, for me. But for what it is, great effort. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 8, 2011
tap at blind tiger - oatmeal raisin cookie, doughy malts, hint of fruits.. not much of blueberry though. pretty sweet, some nuttiness, aromatic but not all that fruity, IMO. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Tap at BT. Pours a nice deep woody brown with a nice white head. Aroma is blueberry muffins/pancake, slight syrupy fakeness to it with some nutty chocolate hints. Flavor is dusty chocolate, nutty, berry fruitiness, mineral, blueberry, light earthy note, dry finish with leather mineral and paper on the tongue. Ok. Draft. Pours a bruin body with a tan head and light head retention. Bitter sweet up front, hints of coffee, oats, malty caramel and light sweetness. I was really looking for the blueberries they were very faint and light in the finish. I was surprised because a lot of other CCB treatments are much more prevalent. Still a good beer. murphym45 (779) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 25, 2010
Tap at Blind Tiger.
Almost identical to the normal Maduro. Nice nutty aroma with roasty malts and chocolate, medium bodied and very smooth. We left the beer out for quite a bit to warm up and eventually picked up some very faint blueberry notes.

Tap at Blind Tiger. I was convinced this was just regular Maduro. Delicious oatmeal brown with plenty of chocolate malt and no blueberry to be found. Tons of roast and no blueberry. I mean, it’s very good, but the treatment itself didn’t add anything. Cigar City is still the king of oatmeal browns! j12601 (13298) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2010
On tap at the Blind Tiger during their Cigar City event. Pours a ruby and orange brown. My initial thought is “Where’s the blueberry?”. Doesn’t smell bad by any means though as there’s a lot of malt, sweet toast and oatmeal on the nose. The blueberry does slowly get over its shyness and come out a little as it warms up, but it plays more of a bit part than some of the other treatments they’ve done. Sweet toast and roast, faint blueberry, toast and nutty malt on the finish. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2010
aroma is standard maduro with perhaps a hint of fruit. quite subtle if at all existent. appearance is cloudy near opaque, no blue hue present if you were wondering. flavor is long sticky chocolate finish, ultra fleeting fruit makes an appearance briefly. not alot here beyond the base beer which is a bit soured with tartness, a pointless endevour. steelcitybrew (454) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Pours a lite brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is coffee beans and roasted malts. Taste is regular maduro with blueberry notes. Palate is light mouthfeel. Overall another solid brew HOPSHUNTER (742) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 9, 2010
Growler courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thought I missed this one then found it in my back log...score! Poured a hazy amber color with an average sized egg shell head. Nose is malty with touches of roast, chocolate, nuts, maybe a mild frutiness but I’m not sure if I would be able to distinguish this from the base beer by smell. Medium body with ample carbonation. Flavor is Maduro, I really don’t get any blueberry maybe a faint tartness.
