Growler from the brewery. Pours a chestnut brown color with some reddish hue and topped by a small, foamy tan colored head that leaves tiny spots of lace behind. The aroma is pretty typical for the base Maduro with roasted cocoa and caramel malt to with hints of flaked oats, and some subtle blueberry sweetness in the back. The flavor follows suit with the roasted cocoa and caramel malt base with hints of nuts and smooth oats. The blueberries are noticeable on the backend lending an earthy tartness to everything. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel that leads to an earthy, crisp finish. The blueberries were subtle, but added some nice flavor and earthiness to this treatment. Nice, tasty session brown ale. Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2010
Growler, courtesy SoLan. Pours a clear chestnut brown color with reddish highlights. A small, frothy, bubbly tan head leaves wet micro-spots of lacing on the glass. The nose is not too far off from the base Maduro, showing notes of rich cocoa and caramel malt, with hints of flaked oats and hints of nuts. Blueberry comes across as a faint, generic, fruity sweetness, not very prominent at all. Flavors follow suit, again based in coco-caramel malt, showing soft roast and smooth, soothing oats. The berries lend a softly tangy, mainly sweet fruit element. Medium bodied, with a silky, moderately carbonated mouthfeel, the palate lends itself to sessioning. I found this one to be tasty, but the added sweetness detracts a bit from the rock solid base beer. hopscotch (11043) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2010 Growler… CCB Fruit in the Room 2010... Clear, dark, dirty orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose offers chocolate, light espresso and a hint of blueberry. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with relaxed carbonation. The flavor provides chocolate, coffee and a dab of blueberry. Nods a touch toward the bitter side of balance with a rumor of tartness. Crisp, roasty, moderately bitter finish. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Growler pours deep amber with nice looking tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts, chocolate malts and a touch of burnt malts and possibly an earthy quality. The taste is nearly all Maduro with pleasing roasty malts, chocolate malts and dashes of burnt malts sprinkled around here and there. It does end with a bit of fruit tannin tartness that hints at the blueberry treatment. I guess I was expecting some fruitiness to this beer but there really wasn’t any. That’s cool though. For me it is a tasty Maduro with a modestly tannin tart finish. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Pours hazy brown with hints of red. Nose is roasted grain, sweet malts and vinous and sweet hints of ripe and unripe blueberry hidden away in the back end. Flavor is pretty much maduro, toasty grain, bold roast with very little trace of the fruit. Although it does come through in the end as a subtle tartness.

Draft at cigar city brewing. pours a dark brown. has the good nutty normal maduro aroma. perhaps a hint of blueberry in there but it isn’t strong. The flavor on the other hand was disappointing, the first time i’ve been disappointed by one of cigar cities brews. it begins as well as the regular maduro, but the sweet, fruity blueberry finish is just not for me. blueberry fans will probably enjoy it, but i did not. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Growler thanks to IBrew2or3. Pours Maduro brown with an off-white head. Everything about it is typical maduro with very subtle blueberry. The character is most apparent when Maduro neutralizes the tobacco-esque finish of Maduro. Interesting Maduro twist, but there are other Maduro treatments... redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2010
thanks to solan for sharing! Chocolatey nose, caramel malts with hints of coffee. Pours a brown amber with a thin white head. Chocolate and caramel with coffee notes, dark fruits, with just a hint of blueberry in the finish. Tsotsi (178) - Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2010
Thanks to SoLan for sharing. Nice brown color with a beige head. Nose is full of dark coffee and roasty malts with a slight blueberry aroma. Flavors are sweet, full of coffee and chocolate. Get the blueberry on the finish and it does over power the beer. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium bodied. Very nice beer. kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 10, 2010
On tap at CCB. Pours a hazy dark brown with reddish highlights and a tan head that settles slowly. Aroma is lightly roasted and malty with light notes of blueberry and familiar maduro aromas -- caramel, toffee, honey, chocolate, and light coffee. Flavor is also lightly roasted and malty with notes of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and toffee along with more subtle notes of nuts, cream, grain and smoke. Very faint berry and bluberry notes. Generally medium body with a pleasing lightly roasted malty finish. Nice beer, but the blueberries didnt come through as strong as I imagined they would.
