On tap at the Blind Tiger during their Cigar City event. Pours a ruby and orange brown. My initial thought is “Where’s the blueberry?”. Doesn’t smell bad by any means though as there’s a lot of malt, sweet toast and oatmeal on the nose. The blueberry does slowly get over its shyness and come out a little as it warms up, but it plays more of a bit part than some of the other treatments they’ve done. Sweet toast and roast, faint blueberry, toast and nutty malt on the finish. hopscotch (11110) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2010 Growler… CCB Fruit in the Room 2010... Clear, dark, dirty orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose offers chocolate, light espresso and a hint of blueberry. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with relaxed carbonation. The flavor provides chocolate, coffee and a dab of blueberry. Nods a touch toward the bitter side of balance with a rumor of tartness. Crisp, roasty, moderately bitter finish. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Brown pour, tan head. Blueberries, roasted nuts, hints of light chocolate, wheat crackers, slightly sweet. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 23, 2011
Re-entering older ratings.
Growler pours deep amber with nice looking tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts, chocolate malts and a touch of burnt malts and possibly an earthy quality. The taste is nearly all Maduro with pleasing roasty malts, chocolate malts and dashes of burnt malts sprinkled around here and there. It does end with a bit of fruit tannin tartness that hints at the blueberry treatment. I guess I was expecting some fruitiness to this beer but there really wasn’t any. That’s cool though. For me it is a tasty Maduro with a modestly tannin tart finish.

Draft. Pours a bruin body with a tan head and light head retention. Bitter sweet up front, hints of coffee, oats, malty caramel and light sweetness. I was really looking for the blueberries they were very faint and light in the finish. I was surprised because a lot of other CCB treatments are much more prevalent. Still a good beer. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Poured at Fruit in the Room, a brown ale that has coffee, oats, chocolate, nuts, and blueberry aromas. Taste mimics aromas, but not as much blueberry I was hoping for. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Growler thanks to IBrew2or3. Pours Maduro brown with an off-white head. Everything about it is typical maduro with very subtle blueberry. The character is most apparent when Maduro neutralizes the tobacco-esque finish of Maduro. Interesting Maduro twist, but there are other Maduro treatments... Tap at BT. Pours a nice deep woody brown with a nice white head. Aroma is blueberry muffins/pancake, slight syrupy fakeness to it with some nutty chocolate hints. Flavor is dusty chocolate, nutty, berry fruitiness, mineral, blueberry, light earthy note, dry finish with leather mineral and paper on the tongue. Ok. Draft. Pours a murky brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is literally a straight up blueberry muffin. Bready, doughy with a residual sweetness in the nose. Taste is freaking awesomeness. Wow. I can taste the passion. Literally can taste the slightly crusty top if a muffin.
