3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pretty one dimensional beer, extremely heavy on roasted coffee with little else going on. This still means it is pretty tasty, but I do wish it was a bit more nuanced.
Bottle share at RBB. Pour is pitch black with a huge khaki-colored head. Notes of cocoa powder, vanilla, peppers, semi-sweet chocolate, and dark roasted barley. Finish is a bit on the bitter side, but balanced nicely by chocolate sweetness. DSG (14922) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 12, 2016
[1/30/16] Bottle sample at the Encomium bottle share, after RateBeer Best awards ceremony at Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Black with a brown head. Roast, chocolate aroma. Bittersweet flavor, chocolate, roast. Thick. JulienHuxley (5856) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle shared. Black pour with thin off white head. Aroma is cocoa forward, boozy, dark fruits. Taste is sweet, chocolate-y, boozy roasty finish. Palate is med-full bodied with good carbonation. Decent. BiiruBierBeer (1051) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JAN 6, 2016
Smell is chocolate, malt, and roasty notes. Taste is the same with heavy emphasis on the roast. A bit too toasty for me. Medium body, way overcarbed, and super foamy. deyholla (11759) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 14, 2015
Bottle shared by Brad, thanks! Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains with a bit of red fruit, coffee and a hint of chocolate. Flavor has dark grains with some red fruit, a bit of chocolate and some coffee towards the finish.

Bottle shared at Steazy’s - Gusher! Very highly carbonated. Malty hoppy nose. Nice taste. Powdered chocolate and malt. Pretty good. thomashall (997) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle shared by Brad. Dark black pour. Nice chocolate malty aroma. Taste is really carbonated green pepper, think it’s infected. Too bad. BVery (10617) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bomber - gusher. Very dark pour with a huge foamy beige head. Has some green pepper / green apple in here, gotta be infected. Damn, this could’ve been good. Theydon_Bois (19845) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2015

Taste comprises milk chocolate, rich roast, charr, toffee fudge, dark malts.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent stout. trapped (3283) - New York, TURKEY - SEP 7, 2015
Bottle. Inky black with medium sized spongy beige head, mocha flavor with a hint of grapes, slightly sweet mocha taste turning bitter towards the end, low carbonation, alcohol undertones, long bitter chocolate finish. It’s like chocolate with rum!
