COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich dark brown in color with a nutty, roasted and chocolatey malt character. The complex malt flavors are balanced by earthy, stone fruit leaning hops. The perfect complement to a savory steak or robusto cigar.

On draft at the CCB Brewpub. Pours a deep, dark brown with a tan head. Nose is roast, earth, chocolate, and a nice bitterness that blends coffee bitterness with some mild citrus. Flavor is similar with roast, earth, chocolate, and some citrusy hops. Medium to full in body and very nice overall.

Draft @ Brewpub. Pours a very dark ruby red beer with a nice creamy tanned head on top. Aroma roasted nuts and malts, slight touch of caramel. Flavor is nice, subtle, roasty, and has a rich chocolate bittersweet aftertaste. Perfectly balanced, silky mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice.

Draft at source. A ton of cocoa and chocolate in the nose. Dark brown pour. Small off white head. A ton of chocolate in the flavor. Pretty decadent but enough bitterness to balance. Smooth, quench able, nice.

juiceisloose (1614) - Windermere, Florida, USA - JUL 26, 2015
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a reddish hue and topped by a small tan colored head of foam. The head shows nice retention and slowly fades leaving splotches of lace behind. The aroma shows notes of dark chocolate, roasted malts, toasted caramel, and hop bitterness on the back end. The flavor follows suit with ample amounts of bitter dark chocolate, dark roasted malts, and toasted caramel. The piney hops add ample bitterness on the backend and keeps things in balance. Medium bodied with good carbonation that leads to a roasty chocolate finish. This is a really tasty robust Porter and easy to see why they won gold at the U.S. open beer championships. Great beer.

Draft @ CCB Brewpub.

Poured a dark brown almost black color with aromas of earth, cocoa, some roast and light bitter black coffee. Flavors matched the aromas Roman decent overall not how much I could do in one sitting but one glass was good enough.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2015 Cask. Deep black and lightly opaque with a lasting, fine tan colored head. Enjoyably malty aroma shows well the roast core, there’s a natural dark chocolate cocoa quality that seems to shape-shift into something like fresh brewed coffee. Aroma hops and esters are minimal. Body is medium, it’s moderately sweet with medium to low bitterness, carbonation is fine and texture is silky and soft. Rich, savory, clean and expressive. Cask certainly adds a few points to CCB beer, from what I tried while in town.
