Dark beer with a brown slick for a head. Rich dark fruit nose with lots of molasses. This is a rich sweet beer with dark brown sugar and molasses, dark fruit, chocolate, and a hint of spice. Interesting use of squash. hopscotch (11180) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 20, 2014
Bottle... Pours Marshal Zhukov black with a small, creamy, beige head. The roasty aroma is a combination of autumn spices, vanilla and mocha. Full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor offers deeply roasted malt, charcoal, dark chocolate and an unsavory note of cardboard. Finishes with a roasty kiss of licorice and more cardboard. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian! Dedollewaitor (16314) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2014
Bottle. Thanks to Hallinghansen. Much appreciated. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Spices for sure - ginger, rye but plenty of good roasted malts. Smooth and dry. Some coffee and fruit. Quality! hallinghansen (3403) - Odense SV, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2014
Bottle at Cigar City Brewpub. Black body with a small light brown head. Light malt, roast, caramel, ripe fruit, wood, cocoa, rye, pumpkin. This is delicious. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2014
Pour is black with a tight mocha colored head. Nose is heavily spiced, ginger bread, nutmeg, cinnamon, pine needle. Taste is spicier, still a ton of spice. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg with a fair about of pine needle and lots of cayenne pepper spice. Body is full, mild carbonation, soft palate.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts, a lot of spices, some squash/pumpkin notes, light rye, a lot of malty sweetness, and some light hop notes. Flavor the same with sort of a weird blend. Average to smoother texture. Not awful, just expecting better. fonefan (50489) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 30, 2014

Bottle to flute...thanks Ferris
Nice gourdy aroma, kind of like pumpkin, but maybe squash. Theres something sweet, but not overly sweet, perhaps beet. There’s also ginger and a touch of cocoa, and burdock. Its appearance is a deep brown with a ringed tan head. Taste is spice, red pepper, chocolate, and nutmeg.

Bottle - Cinnamon, cardamom, chocolate and earthy squash. Jet black with a decent brown head. Chocolate, cocoa, sweet starch and a nice sweet finish. I like that it isn’t over the top and offers a nice chocolate base to fall back on.
