UPDATED: NOV 19, 2016 Dark black. Nice mocha head that recedes quickly. Strong espresso. Subtle vanilla. I want more. Delicious. Thx Jean!

Pitch black color, mocha head. Aroma has dark malts, green coffee beans and even some peppers. Taste starts also with the green coffee/pepper, solid sweet malt backbone, roasted coffee on the finish with a light bitterness. Really heavy body with smooth mouthfeel. Really good one with the excellent Cigar City mouthfeel.

Bottle shared. Pitch black pour with a thick espresso head. Notes of roasted coffee beans, sherry, molasses, subtle peppers, dark chocolate, cocoa. Full body, smooth texture, light carbonation and a roasty chocolatey bitter-sweet finish.

22 ounce bottle - $13.99 at Bullock’s Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia. Appearance: Pours out a viscous, motor oil-esque body, black, though with no real head formation. Smell: A roasty-toned aroma with chunks of bittersweet chocolate pitted with notes of prune juice, oozing molasses and a couple drops of soy. Taste: Starts with dark chocolate sauce, then that molasses, a sliver of booze and bitter coffee flavors amidst ashen roast. Dark fruitiness. As with the aroma, a bit of soy. Sweet, roasty finish certainly with some warming qualities. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-low carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Overall: Not to be missed? Well, it’s fine. A beer which is just fine.

Bottle at 2016 Big Deck Tasting. Dark brown with a thin mocha head. Hints of chilli pepper, dark and bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, incredibly smooth, cocoa powder, vanilla bean, light booziness. Full body and mild carbonation, bitter but balanced, easy to drink but glad the bottle was shared as couldn’t drink an entire one.

2016 bomber in ’16. Nose is sweet vanilla, dark roast coffee, chocolate syrup. Mouthfeel is slick and oily/creamy. Taste is very sweet, a tad cloying. Flavor is rich like an overly sweetened, ’you want some coffee with that milk?’ Starbucks frappe kind of way. Enjoyable but I didn’t come close to finishing my half share of the bomber.

22 oz bottle. The beer is black with just a thin band of brown around the edge of the glass. Small dark brown head. A layer of fine foam hangs around for a bit but it mostly fizzles away. The aroma is roast, nice coffee, vanilla, big chocolate base, light caramel and some milky sweetness. It has a sweetened milk coffee flavor. Lots of dark chocolate. Vanilla is relatively strong but doesn’t take center stage. The taste has a nice mix of sweetness and darker bitter flavors. Big milk chocolate and caramel base. Coffee is fairly strong. Moderate roast. Not quite as much vanilla as in the aroma. Very nice mix of flavors. Smooth and full mouthfeel. Reminds me of Speedway, which I love. Very good stuff.

Surprised to see this show up here. Lots of vanilla and cocoa. Not getting much coffee. Smooth creamy and sweet. A little soy saucy but still really good.

650 ml bottle at home. Black color with brown head. Aroma in the beginning is full of green pepper.. Lots of green pepper. As it gets warmer the aroma gets better too, roasted malty, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, light spicy. Taste is much better than the aroma, sweet and bitter, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla. Full silky oily body with soft carbonation.

22 oz bottle shared with Tmoney99 from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, big chocolate, bigger vanilla, espresso, caramel, smooth mouth feel, full bodied, sticks to the glass, no sign of the abv, very solid beer.
