Bottle from Homer321 big coffee stout we got as I draft my fantasy football team. Black pour fine head. Nose is espresso. Tastes of espresso, toast, light cocoa, earth and hint of rubber. Thick mouthfeel and coffee finish. yourilevesque (1829) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2016
Partagée en compagnie de mon band. Cheers all!
Dark beer with a short lived dark brown foamy head that shrank to a lasting wisp on the surface. Really rich coffee and chocolate nose. Very smooth creamy mouth feel. This is a huge sipping beer. Like liquid chocolate with coffee and vanilla addedd. The alcohol is present but not intrusive. I almost thought this had a little of the hot pepper in it. If you like big flavor bomb stouts, this is a great one. Boutip (6374) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2016
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown creamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice floral coffee notes with some chocolate and vanilla notes is quite exquisite. Taste is a nice mix of floral coffee notes with some chocolate and vanilla, light roasted malt with some residual sugar also discernable. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. This si a great stout and probably better than the barrel-aged version. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, coffee and alcohol aroma. Heavy dark sweet toasted dark chocolate malt flavor with a heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.
