17/VIII/13 - 75cl bottle @ 4de Gents Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2013-783) Thanks to Ibrew2or3 for sharing the bottle!mcmd (315) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Clear purple brown beer, beige big bubbled head, pretty unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: lots of whisky or bourbon, caramel, vanilla, alcohol, dried fruits, brown sugar. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: sugary start, caramel, sour red fruits, vanilla, quite some alcohol, dried fruit. Aftertaste: caramel, sour fruits, mocha, some chocolate, alcohol, sugary, soft hoppiness, red wine notes, tannins, lots of vanilla. Nice beer!
Pours a dark brown with a ruby hue on the edge, mocha head, appearance of an imperial porter. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, mostly bourbon but rum is very faint also. Flavor is chocolate, dark fruit, nuts, vanilla, oak and bourbon but not too strong on the booziness. A bit thin on the mouthfeel but this was not geared to be an imperial stout. Glad I let this sit as may have been too boozy initially - drinking nice currently. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle courtesy of one of the most generous people I know, thanks buddy! This was shared in the company of many of the Belgium rateebeerians who I had the pleasure of seeing again at the 4de Gents Bierfestival and some meeting for the first time. What a terrific experience, cheers everyone!! The 75cl yellow waxed bottle pours with a dark mahogany body that supports a light mocha colored head. The aroma offers up boozy bourbon, chocolate, toffee, cherries and some sweet and vague barrel notes. The taste is smooth and rich and demands small enjoyable sips where there’s a mix of dark roasted malts, dark roasted chocolate malts, smooth sweet cherry notes and then slivers of faint red grape tartness. In between these notes I get more chocolate bar and toffee candy notes that really ramp this up into rarified richness and balance where a mild smooth bourbon barrel booziness is noticed off in the background. Dandy stuff, I can sip on this stuff for hours. sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 20, 2013
75cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Ibrew2or3. Thanks Dave for sharing this one with the Belgian RB team.
77ships (9698) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 18, 2013
75 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2013. Courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thx! Yellow wax. Apparently limited to 240 bottles. Min. 12 months old. Pours a very dark brown going to black with a beige head. Smell is very sweet booze, light bourbon, sticky brown sugar, caramel, sticky, thick chocolate, lots of wood vanilla, thick cocoa, almost touch of dark fruits,… Taste is thick brown sugar, creamy milk chocolate, reminds me a bit of a milk stout, high quality brandy-like alcohol, bourbon, lots of wood vanilla, creamy chocolate, sweet, sweet coffee,… Quite creamy, touch less carb. Very easy to drink which sadly made me go very quickly through my portion. Mmm so yummy.

Small cream head over reddish to purple-shot, nearly black beer. Chocolate and brandy concentrate, brandy casks, ethanol explosion in the nose. Sweet-woody, chocolate and brandy (yes, bis); with a fine bitterish edge. New sips yield just a touch of mint and vanila. Rich, voluptuous, alcoholgalore, yet drinkable - dangerously so. Oh man. This is beer. Many thanks to Dave and Seb! BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2013
75cl, as Campeador ’Greaves Ale’, no mention of ABV, new exclusive American blended brew, thx to Ibrew2or3!, very complex brew, malty/woody and slightly alcoholic/fruity, yet not too heavy, very balanced, cloudy, small head, very good brew kraddel (7871) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2013

Bottle 97 of 240:   Deep cola, thin frothy tannish head, little lacing.   Bourbon notes right up front.   Seems slightly smoked.   A little dark pitted fruit, minor peat.   Seems complex, but a bit overshadowed
by Bourbon.   Sweet start, Bourbon like, sweet roasted malts, graham cracker, very soft dark fruits, with only a touch of peat and campfire.   Not as bright as I would have thought.   Somewhat subtle, yet flavorful.
Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   A bit warming, but not alcoholic.   Very light tartness.   Lingering Bourbon, graham cracker, sweet soy sauce, dark fruit, and breadiness.   Pretty tasty after 2 years.
Thanks Matt for this rarity! Travlr (24319) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 3, 2013
Draft at Churchkey. Very dark brown, brown edge head. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, brandy, cocoa. Taste is rich Irish coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate. Lovely.
