750 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige film. The aroma is sweet malty caramel, dark fruits, plums, woody, bourbon and vanilla. The flavor was more sweet malts, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, rum, wood, hints of chocolate, dark fruits and some mild nuts toward the finish. Very interesting brew with quite a bit going on. Tended to the sweet side. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 24, 2012
750 ml. Deep brown approaching black body. Frothy, beige head, lasting. Big aroma of dark fruits — plums, raisins. Notes of molasses, wood, thick molasses. Hint of roasted malt, licorice. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Barley wine flavors in this beer — fruits, vanilla, caramel. Alcohol in the finish. Smooth, nice sipping beer. Thanks BiGmaze. jcartamdg (3521) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2012
On tap at Hunahpu day. Pours thick and black, no head. Aroma of booze, sweet vanilla, oak, toffee, chocolate. Taste follows, really sweet but this is great as a small serving. One of the most complex beers ive ever had! Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 25, 2012

How: Bottle 750ml, $oon after the beer relea$e, $hared with friend$ under the Vermont $tar$.
The look: Brown body topped by a $mall beige head
In long: No$e i$ wood barrel$ not overwhelmed by bourbon, caramel hard candie$, other $weet $tuff. Ta$te i$ initially very $weet, coconut cake, vanilla, toffee, apple $trudel, cake glazing, more $weet $tuff… $ome bourbon too. But there i$ al$o lot$ of wood barrel$ with a roa$ted almond$ flavor and that made the exce$$ive $weetne$$ quite tolerable to me. I thought it wa$ $omewhat original and for a $weet $ipper I wa$ $urpri$ed at how drinkable it wa$. Another very limited CCB beer relea$e (only a few hundred$ bottle$ made) and I don’t under$tand why CCB make$ $o many $mall limited relea$e beer$ in$tead of making fewer beer$ but with larger bottle count, there mu$t a rea$on but I ju$t don’t $ee it.
2012-08-18. Very dark brown body with a small frothy brown head. 3+ Sweet aroma is pleasantly malty, modest woody character with notes of vanilla. Flavour is similar, sweet dark malty core and woody accents that are just a touch odd. Smooth medium bodied palate. Enjoyable but just okay. Bottle, Campground Brewdown 2012 shared by MaxxDaddy

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear ruby color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and dark bourbon wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

The pour is dark brown with an off-white head. A little bit of roasted malt, licorice, vanilla, and toffee. Some molasses, a bit of fruit, and chocolate. Caramel sweetness, molasses, toffee, and whiskey. Light vanilla flavor, some dark fruit notes, and a touch of oak. Kind of all over the place, but enjoyable. yespr (47048) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2012
