Like drinking a glass of old motor oil. Pours a viscous thick black with minimal brown head. Taste and aroma are very complex but dont mesh well imo. All over the place with roasty, nutty, funky, sweet, and salty? elements. It was definitely interesting and I did not dislike it but it was kind of a mess. Bottle 16/204. Aroma is sweet Malts, some funk and tart. Flavor is big and sweet, huge beer. This would be tough to drink without sharing. The tartness actually lightens the beer a little, adding a great dimensionality. anders37 (27577) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 12, 2011
Bottle @ Papsø. Bottle 136/204. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty bitter chocoalte aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity woody caramel and chocoalte flavor. Has a sweetish malty woody bitter caramel and chocolate finish. beernbourbon (1604) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - AUG 28, 2011
Bottle shared by jckp64, thanks John! Pour is a majestic deep black with a full and thick tan head. Aroma is loaded with roasted malt, toffee malt, and a lot of sour, funky grape. Flavor is also full of sour, funky dark fruits and grape. Touches of toffee malt and full bodied roasted malt. This was really tasty, but based on other ratings, i’m pretty sure this was an infected bottle. Reminiscent of CL Smoke from the oak win barrel. I would certainly drink it again though. jckp64 (356) - St Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 27, 2011

Thanks to Maltzilla for that one. Bottle 61/204. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very zippy. Heavy malty aroma with chocolate notes. Starts strong malty with fine hoppy notes in the background, modest bitter. Finish again very malty, with chocolate and coffee notes, modest alcoholic. All in all finish a bit too unbalanced, but still a great beer! Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 6, 2011
750ml bottle. It pours almost black in the body with a menacing red mocha head that has huge retention and very good lace. Aroma is a little all over the place: sour fruits, spices, orange mint, barbecue pork, smoked sausage. An odd combo. Taste is spicy peppers, bell peppers, some intense cloying sweetness in the foreground and ends with some cardboardy oxidation. I’m very fortunate to get to sample this but obviously disappointed. Much more a fan of the Fergus Mor. Pinball (12598) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2011
