markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2015
bottle shared at our big bottle share tasting. bottle 96/192. poured a deep dark black colour with a nice oily tanned ring on top. nose has a ton of sweet dried dark chocolate, roasted malts, sweet bourbon, charred oak, orange shining trough, orange peel, and a small amount of sweet tangerine. taste has that sweet chocolate upfront, followed by bourbon, and a clear orange note, bitter chocolate, tobacco, and roasted malts. reminds me of "pimm’s orange cookies’. mouthfeel is like most of the cigar city beers spot on! very full bodied, thick, and loaded with flavours! this one went above my expectations.

4.3
McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2015
Firm dark brown, light sandy ringed head. Nose is inch farm berry vinious sticky burnt malt sweetness. Scrape of Nutella bourbon. This is a rich investment. I mean, it’s crackling with a winey berry buzz. Soft carbonation, gummy rubbery mouthfeel. Finishes a long softly bitter sweetness but odd linger if rich squished berry good to times.

Bottle, Speedway Tasting

Somewhat forgettable CCB barrel aged stout. I’d guess rye barrels. Chocolatey and a bit spicy with some heat. Good enough but not amazing.

Poured a deep black color with aromas of chocolate, molasses, booze, sweetness, roast, and light vanilla. Flavors are chocolate, and bourbon sweetness, vanilla, light wood, and some earth. I liked this blend, glad I got to try this.
