Bottle during RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark brown with beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is dark chocolate, rye, and scotch. Thick mouth, nice vanilla, rye, nice booze presence, really enjoyed this.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99 from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small tan head. The aroma and flavor have chocolate, caramel, spices, spicy rye notes, oak, bourbon, vanilla, some dark fruit, with just a splash of bitterness. Decent enough.

Opaque black - brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is light and airy, lightly crisp. Mellow sourness in perfect balance with semi sweet dark chocolate. Tangy fruits with a little creamy malt. Semi dry finish. Just a great balance of chocolate and mild sourness. Very drinkable.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks Armin! Pours a murky dark brown head with a bubbly dark brown head. Bourbon, a bit tangy fruity, lightly spicy rye, caramel, a bit oxidized aroma. Roasty, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, somewhat tangy, dark fruity, bourbon flavor. A little disjointed. Not too hard to drink but seems to have multiple personalities.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, very dark black pour with tan head that is a bit more heady than I expected, aroma brought notes of dark fruits, raisin, plum, hints of oak, lots of bourbon, oak, vanilla, lots of whiskey as well, hints of spice and smoke in there as well. Taste is a mix of sweet dark fruits, slight prickly notes, hints of oak, vanilla, bourbon, touch of red vinegar but not bad, nice caramel, toffee, more dark fruit, finishing fairly sweet, slightly burning, oaky and full of bourbon.

355mL copper wax thanks to the CCB collector’s box at RBWG Grand Tasting. Never thought I’d get to try this one. Pours a clear cola brown with a larger than expected tan head. A bit overcarbonated. Nose is infected but nice- red wine barrel, funky, bourbon, malted milk balls, vanilla, macadamia nuts, powdered milk. Strange but I like it. Taste is sweet tomato paste, sugar, sticky caramel, denser sugary body. Not quite drained from the infection. Aerated palate with some remaining silkiness. A bizarre, but fun beer that is slowly souring in the bottle.

Bottle to taster (thanks Leighton). Looks solid; an opaque dark brown with beige lacing. Smells solid; malty. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Pours jet black with no head. Aroma of heavy malt, booze and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, malty, bourbon and vanilla. Finishes with roast and chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
