Opaque black - brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is light and airy, lightly crisp. Mellow sourness in perfect balance with semi sweet dark chocolate. Tangy fruits with a little creamy malt. Semi dry finish. Just a great balance of chocolate and mild sourness. Very drinkable.
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Beerlando. Pours black and opaque with a small beige head. Intense notes of prunes and raisins in the nose atop a hard roasted maltiness combined with alcohol and wood. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt, an edge of ashes, plenty of dried fruit, plenty of wood and booze - but hard to define exactly what. Ends boozy too - but delicious. 220611 Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2011
