COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The idea behind this series is to tap into fruit drinks popular in Latin culture. Each entry in the series will feature a different fruit and possible blend of others. First up is Guanabana Ale. We made this beer in collaboration with J Wakefield Brewing. This beer is very light but very drinkable and the guanabana is huge.

Growler during RBWG. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. Aroma is wheat and fruit. Thin mouthfeel with wheat and very little fruit, bland and watery.

Growler... RBWG 2013... Cloudy light yellow brew with a tiny, fleeting, white head. The aroma features tropical, fruity guanabana, rooty sarsaparilla and licorice, with a cracker malt foundation. Medium-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is lightly fruity, mildly bitter and bready, but somewhat flat and mundane overall. Crisp, refreshing finish. I’m hoping this series takes a big-time turn toward an acidic Berliner weisse base. I’m looking forward to a Guanabana Florida Weisse at some point.

Hazy yellowish/gold/orange pour, with a fluffy white head. Aroma of guava, pineapple and a bready note. Very tropical flavor forward, some pineapple, mango, malty, easy drinking. Cool beer and I look forward to the next in the series.

1 gallon growler at RBWG thanks to markwise I think. Pours a glowing, full haze peach. Nose is papaya, guava. Taste is lightly tangy, juicier nectar fruits: peach, papaya. Quenching, pulpy palate. Nice.

Draft on tap at the brewery taproom (Tampa, FL). Nice! Pours a richer deeper dulled golden yellow hue, good haziness, frothy whitish head dies to a film, laces small. Darker dulled body. Aromas are gentle tartness, lemongrass, and herbal earth, grass. Gentle wheat, bready malts, straw. Tropical fruit sweetness at times, flashes of mango. Initial is lighter end of the fold, touches of malty girth give tropical fruit, lemongrass, bready malts and lemon rind. Some grass, herbal elements. Middle is a touch sweeter, girthy, bready and cereal grains, some straw, dough, gentle apple, tropical fruit. Mellow dryness grows into backend and finish. A nice dryness, almost bitter. Tropical fruit, papaya, mellow bready malts, straw, dryness. Fun, a touch girthy in the middle, a bit more dry and bitter into the finish. Not bad. Loses itself a bit.
