Light brownish pour, brown eggshell head. Flavor of almonds, chocolate, caramel malts, dark honey, light molasses. It really does taste like an almond joy with a hint of dark cherry notes. Cool stuff! jredmond (8441) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Draft at CCB during Hunahpu Day 2013 with Andrew and Maggi. Pours a deep blackish brown body with thin tan lacing. Aroma is rich cherry, sweet nuts and decadent chocolate. Very nice. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, medium to full with notes of chocolate syrup, sweet almonds, nuts, toffee, dark cherries, chocolate covered cherries and almond joy candy bars. One of the highlights of the day. burg326 (5561) - Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2012
On draft at Cigar City pours aa black color, aromas of almonds, caramel, light chocolate, and some feint cherries. Flavors are the same, the cherries and almond flavor was very balanced, glad this beer was put back on, I enjoyed this beer. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 16, 2012
On draft at Cigar City. Pours the typical Big Sound dark caramel brown with an off-white head. Nose is sweet malts, some almond extract, big cherry, and some light Hershey’s syrup. Flavor is similar with the flavors melding together pretty well. Nice selection of complimentary flavors here. Medium in body and some lingering chocolate almond in the finish. Nice treatment, Jason! From notes. On draft at Hunahpu’s Day 2016 in Tampa on March 12. The pour is a darker ruby color with a pretty heavy brown lean. There are hints of garnet poking through to go with a thin tan cap of foam that disappears quickly. The aroma is definitely nutty. The almonds are huge. There is a light caramel malt and a little bit of a chocolate note to it, but the cherry is what brings this down. It smells a little medicinal and forced. It’s an interesting smell because it takes the traditional scotch ale qualities and just goes around them to add adjuncts. The flavor is really interesting. The medicinal cherry really sticks out up front, and then the chocolate nuttiness rolls through and a light caramel malt brings up the rear. There is a lot happening, and it seems to fight itself a little. The mouth feel is a little thinner, but it pretty well carbonated. There is a lingering chocolate covered nut kind of aftertaste that is a little drier than I’d like to see. It’s not terrible, but there is a ton of stuff going on in this one. jcartamdg (3515) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Chocolate almond cherry scotch ale
Dark brown almost black with no head. Aroma of almonds, cherries and caramel malts. Taste follows, chocolate almonds and an afterthought of cherries. Sweet yet balanced, really nice treatment!

On draft for Huna Day. This was probably the best beer I had the entire day. Took a small sip from my buddies glass and got a massive amount of cherry chocolate. Just uber goodness all around. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Very sweet, definite cherry, chocolate is lots, almond gives it a slight boozy character rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Draft at Hunaphu Day. Deep murky brown pour wit a small tan head. Very sweet, nutty, toffee, caramel, cherry aroma. Flavor is very similar, thick and almost cloying and too nutty for me. Some noticeable booze. Not terrible, but not for me.
