Bomber. Pours a lovely rich nut brown-black. Thin white foam head quickly dissipates, leaving just a lacey trace on the surface and rimming the glass. Aromas is malty and nutty. Taste is dark and barky, with a solid nut and malt infusion. Touches of earth and smoky wood complement a very solid-bodied brew, that finishes with a smooth cinnamon and booze burn. Very, very nice. sebletitje (10252) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 17, 2011
Tap @ CCB pours dark brown, beige head. Same Bolita base. Aroma had some sweetness and hints of coconut. Taste abv stood out nicely at 9%, the coconut adds a nice extra bourbon like palate with hints of vanilla. As it warms up, light bitter chocolate malts become more noticeable with light caramel. Finish is velvety with some nice coconut, coconut not overpowering the overall mouthfeel. thedm (6282) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 4, 2010
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was nutty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of sour and brown malt. An OK brew just nothing special. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - JAN 16, 2010
Pours a hazy brown. Nose is Sweet earthy malts, toasted coconut, nuts, earthy hops. Flavor is sweet malt, toasted grains, roasted malts, earth, fresh coconut, hints of cocoa and coffee. Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Growler thanks to SoLan and CheeseMan. Pours very dark, almost opaque. The nut and big dark malt aromas are complimented nicely by the roasted coconut. Very smooth and easy to drink despite the high alcohol. Another experiment done right by the mad scientists at Cigar City.

On tap at CCB. Pours a deep chestnut brown color topped by a small, foamy khaki colored head that leaves some thin lines of lace on the glass. The aroma is very similar to Bolita with the dark cocoa, toasted nuts, vanilla, and roasted coffee. There is just a hint of coconut cream in there. The flavor follows with the chocolate and toasted nuts up front backed by the caramel malts and roasted coffee on the backend. There is a nice creamy element to everything with just a touch of coconut in the flavor. Medium to full bodied and silky smooth on the mouthfeel with nice carbonation. The coconut really adds to the mouthfeel nicely. Another really good brown ale from CCB that isn’t that much different from the regular Bolita. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2009
On draft @ BB Big Sound Release. Pours Bolita Brown with a very carbonated off-white head. Nose is dark nuts, roast, some vanilla/ sweetness, and some booze. Flavor is mostly Bolita that does not move aside until it warms up in order to give the coconut some dancing room. It is a medium-bodied mostly Bolita and some coconut. Enjoyable beer, but let her warm. Ibrew2or3 (8748) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 2, 2009
Draft at CCB BA Big Sound release party. Very much Bolita with a smooth balanced addition of coconut. It poured deep dark, nearly brackish, brown with dark tan head. The aroma is sweet with molasses, roastiness, sweet nuttiness and a thick layer of coconut. The taste is big with sweet nuttiness, some rich malt roastiness, some caramel and a tasty addition of coconut. It comes off smooth and near velvety in body. The coconut is a very nice addition to this flavor and aromatic profile.

Brown pour. Caramel malt, roasted almonds and vanilla on the nose. The flavor is nice. I love the Bolita and this one is very nice, but it could have used a bit more coconut. I got a tiny, tiny hint on the back of my tongue, but mostly I got the regular bolita flavors. Still damn good though!! HOPSHUNTER (742) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2009
Draft at CCB. Poured a dark, reddish brown with a creamy, tan head. Nose is malt, coconut, light cocoa and nuts. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate and nut flavors, coconut is definitely present but slightly subdued. Finishes very smooth and clean. What I like about this treatment is the coconut doesn’t detract from the base Bolita. Very nice.
