Bomber. Pours a clear, light orange with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is of grainy malty with orange peel. Taste is light crisp at first with the bitter orange peal most apparent. The grainy wheat shows up next with a very pleasant light maltiness. The sweetness is not sugary at all, but maintains a "yellow grapefruit" pleasantness. The beer finishes with an outstanding hoppiness, bordering on metallic. Carbonation is medium. Texture is water. Body is medium. The progression of tastes across each mouthful leads to a craving for another sip. There is a trend on these sites to rank "big" beers higher than offerings that are lighter. Obviously, this should not be. The beer establishes a unique profile, bringing together the light sweetness of a kolsch, the smoothness of a wit, and the hoppiness of an pale ale. It is interesting and tasty. Good job CCB.

750ml bottle from PaulUnwin, thanks
Appearance: Pours clear golden with a big white head with lots of lacing
Aroma: Orange peel, fruity and wheat
Taste: Tropical fruit, wheat, grainy with a mild bitterness in the finish, grassy
Very nice, easy drinking and tasty

Appearance: Orange with a slight haze glows under a thick white head which slowly fades into a decent blanket with thick edges.
Nose: Hops right from the beginning with freshly picked citrus and pith, grapefruit especially. Cereal grains in the back ready to be harvested and husked. Zippy acidity along the edges and in the back add to the clean presence of aromas and hopeful flavors. Cumin and candied ginger for some spice.
Palate: Hoppy, zesty, and bright with a dry rustic finish of harvested grains and spent husks. Lemon and grapefruit pith on top of my tongue generates a thirsty desire for more which I happily indulge. Dew-dropped cut green grass. Dried straw underneath with some water crackers and whole grain crisps.
Final Thoughts: Intriguing and deliciously quaffable; another winner from Cigar City Brewing out of Tampa, Florida. A unique take on the wheat ale style, this brisk beer would be welcome at any event outdoors or with breakfast such as eggs and toast with some freshly cut melon. Yum!

On tap. Pours a cloudy yellow with a fairly thick offwhite head. Smells like a standard wheat - citrus, coriander, a little hops spice. Flavor follows - a little metallic, but otherwise a highly sessionable ale.

750mL bottle. Poured cloudy straw golden with a tall, dense, well-retained white head.. sticky lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up fresh orange peel paired with dusty earth and wheaty notes.. some white spices complemented.. loved how it came back to the orange on the back of the nose. The flavor found tart wheat and orange peel throughout.. a touch metallic on the edges.. dry finish with tart orange and wheaty notes plus grassy character. Medium-bodied at most, with very filling carbonation on the palate.. refreshing.. this was solid stuff.
