Nice smell of farmhouse ale with a subtle cucumber nose. Taste is saison like with the cucumber finish. Above average carbonation with prickly mouthfeel. All the credit on the world for trying this. Not the best of this style but definitely one to try. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Thanks to Dixonian for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of cucumbers, water and a little bit of biscuit malt. This smells like I think it would if you ran cucumbers through a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. The flavor is more of the same. I get a ton of cucumber, as well as some biscuit malt, Belgian yeast, pepper and a hint of lemon and orange. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. My only complaint is that I wish the beer was green. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2012
(750ml bottles, courtesy of ericandersnavy and Dixonian) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of cucumber, pear, and florals. Flavor of cucumber, honey, pineapple, yeast, dough, and pear. PorterPounder (8291) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 750 ml capped bottle. Pours a murky dark orange with a sticky white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is grassy and fresh salad-like. Hints of cucumbers of course. Flavor is interesting to say the least, some pickle juice notes, some celery seed spice, cucumbers soaked in vinegar for just the right amount of sourness, a hint of passion fruit. Finish finds some chipotle peppers to round it out. Refreshing, in an odd sort of way - thought it would become cloying, but just the opposite - left me thirsting for more. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Bottle, thanks to the Cad. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is fresh cucumber, lemon pith and a hint of spice. The taste is big on the cucumber, lemon, pith, tangy grapefruit and touch of spice, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Refreshing. Probably should avoid if you’re not a cucumber fan. Interesting and refreshing stuff!

750 ml bottle from Tampa at John and Betsy’s. Hazy golden/orange with very little head. Nose of greens but not as much cucumber as I expected. A little funky with cucumber peel, floral and somewhat yeasty. Mouthfeel is very clean and refreshing. A little bitterness at the finish. Pretty much a saison but nice on a hot summer day by the pool. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Bottle. Pours hazed gold with big foamy white head. Aroma has big cucumber peel, some spicy yeast noted, floral, sweet candy. Flavor of sweet cucumber, crisp spicy yeast and floral finih. Good cucumber character throughout, I’m not sure I want a ton of this but it’s good and fresh. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Tons of cucumber aroma and flavor. Tons of crisp cool Mouthfeel, very clean and green tasting. I could drink a lot of this, definitely when fresh. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2012

Bottle shared at Craft by? Thanks whoever it was! Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light semi dry palate, soft and airy. Cucumber! Quite full on but fresh! A little peppery spice. Light crisp dry finish. Not bad but it’s all cucumber pretty much. The Thornbridge Wye did have a little citrus hop to balance things.
About a 10 oz. pour from a 750ml bottle shared by Adam Jackson. It’s a real different brew wouldn’t call it a saison. It is vegetable dominate beer. The taste and nose reminded me of when my mom made a cucumber salad made with oil and onion. Yeast is barely noticeable. This has no problems it any category however, I’m glad I wasn’t standing in line for this. Ok to try if you come across it. But don’t trade a nice bottle for it.
