Golden in color, hazy with a thin white lacy head. Nice strong Belgian yeast aroma. Good flavors and a rich alcohol flavor and finish. Very good Saison. LtDan (1808) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Appearance: Pours an amber orange with no head.Macegan75 (856) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Aroma: Cedar, perfume citrus and ginger.
Taste: Tonic/ quinine, bitter peel, cedar, fruity spicy yeast. A little limeaide too. The cedar lingers well past the sip.
Mouthfeel: High carbonation. Full bodied.
Overall: This was a very interesting series. One of my observations with the lemon and grapefruit wood variations of this beer were that the wood treatment was very subtle. Not this one. If there’s such a thing as a cedar bomb, that would be this beer. If you can get your hands on this beer, save it for a tasting, it’s good in small portions, but a bit of a chore by yourself or even splitting it.
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2015 bottle I brought to Damico’s. Pours cloudy yellow with slight head that fades, nose is moth balls, cedar, campfire, taste is smokey, woody &belian malty yeast quality. finish is nice, not overpowering clean flavors of pale malt.
Re-rated Aug-2015. Aroma is tons of black pepper, cedar, smoke and formaldehyde. Taste is similar with too much carbonation. Either this beer got much worse or I was crazy 3 years ago. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Pours clear light amber in color with a decent off white head. The aroma is light, a bit of an old cedar closet with the saison yeast sweet base. The flavor starts off soft with farmhouse yeast and maltiness, then the cedar hits in a big way overtaking the palate to the end. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 17, 2012

Draft courtesy of the CCB crew, thanks! My father used to smoke cigars, and the aroma of this beer was like sticking my face in one of his humidors, without the tobacco I guess. Taste was dominated by that aroma. Overall an interesting experience. DSG (15432) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 17, 2012
