Bottle received from burg326, thanks Adam. This one was ALL cedar. In the past I like how it worked with other brews, but this one just didn’t work for me. madvike (3301) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 6, 2012
Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours clear yellow with a thin with head. The cedar is...wow...spicy and pungent. It overshadows everything else, but there’s a little fruitiness peeking through there. Taste is spicy cedar, with more of the fruitiness peeking through, but man--it’s just cedary as hell. Touch of fruit and a bit of yeast, but the spice and wood is king here. Pretty aggressive carbonation. Too much wood in this one. patrickfannon (1242) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2012
Sample from Vinnie. Pours clear orange with minimal white head. Aroma of cedar, orange, lemon, corriander, and some odd spices. Tastes exactly like orange slice candy, with a lot of spice in the back. Soft, clean palate with some more of the corriander spicy sweetness in the finish. Good beer. UPDATED: APR 7, 2012 Bottle split with keith. Pours a shimmering clearish gold, small white soapy head, sporadic lacing. Aromas are fuckin unreal. Pure gruit cedar, this brings me back to the best beer cigar city ever made. Shame it got axed this year. This must be the replacement. Other scents of ginger, vanilla, vtg cedar, orange. Taste is a creamy, cedar aged, fruity spicy wood funk yo. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 6, 2012
(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of cedar, DEET, florals, and pine. Flavor of cedar, herbs, lemon, and caramel with a dry finish.

Shared 750ml bottle. Orange pour with a 2+ finger white head. Big cedar nose with spices and bright fruit. Med body with cedar, vanilla, dark fruits and citrus. Semi dry finish with dark fruits, cedar and vanilla. xmarcnolanx (945) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - APR 3, 2012
Aroma is pepper, cedar, yeasty biscuits and alcohol.
Taste is tons of pepper; yeah, tons of pepper, cedar, a bit of yeast, and booze.
Finish is dry, pepper, and some residual sugar hidden by the cedar and spice.
Ugh. BOLTZ7555 (3127) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2012
So excited to see these sitting on the shelf here in NYC. 24 karat and copper infused pour with hints of tangerine. Nose of orange peel, grapefruit pith, evergreen and black pepper. Little bit of yeast as well. Flavor is filled with unfiltered alcohol, overbearing spice, raw wood, and citrus. Hot, bitter, messy and muddled. Just not a fan. bearbrew (4) - brawley, California, USA - MAR 26, 2012 does not count
thanks to jcartdamg for sending me this along with a killer CCB box!
Pours an effervescent quickly dissipating head. Aroma ruby red grapefruit juice, with a hint of mint, blending in with a citrus bouquet and a fresh cedar cigar box . Yellow golden hue with slight cloudiness. Not a saison fan, but i am really enjoying this beer, refreshing with a slight tartness. Overall a great beer reminds me of grapefruit juice not as bitter. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2012
750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger thick off white head. Very light lacing. Aroma is sweet spice, lightly toasted malt, cedar, and hints of citrus. Flavor is a bit sweeter and fruity with some noticeable cedar spice. Finish is a touch cloying. Medium body. The cedar version is my favorite of the three I tried. A nice beer. Thanks Jason.
