75cl bottle shared by Joes. Clear yellow - light orange color, small white head. Smell malts, sweetness, apple, fruits, some herbs and -I guess- cedar wood. Taste malts, sweet, again probably the cedar wood, but a lot of herbs or spices again. A bit fizzy carbonation, medium body. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a huge white head. Smells like the inside of a cigar box. Just overwhelming cedar aroma that drowns out pretty much everything else. Maybe a little malt and yeast. The flavor is just as bad. Overdone cedar along with some pepper, ginger, and maybe a touch of malt sweetness and yeast. Not a fan of this one at all. Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yelllow gold with small off white head. The aroma is clove and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with dry clove and citrus. A decent Biere de garde from. CCB. Scopey (16274) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2012
From bottle at CBC, May 2012. It pours straw yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is herbal, citrus, farmyard, sweet fruit and some floral notes. The taste is tart citrus, farmyard, funk, wood, lactose, sweet fruit (grapefruit and white grape), herbal and vinous aspect, with a dry, slightly tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Easily the best one I’ve had from this series.
