Pours clear yellow with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma has lots of pepper - really accentuated by the wood. Doughy malts, grassy. Very fresh. Medium carbonation, lovely dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is initially malty, doughy, then turns to wonderfully sharp white pepper. Pine bitterness and crisp finish. Lovely, and amazing what that cedar does to enhance flavours and aromas.
750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold honey with a medium sized white head. Aroma of fresh lemon, orange peel, pineapple, corriander and fresh cedar wood. Taste is much the same. Superb ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 9, 2012
A - Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet grainy and lightly bready malts with coriander, orange peel, ginger, Belgian yeast, and cedar.
T - Starts off with sweet grainy and bready malts with some coriander, ginger, and lemon zest. Through the middle, the cedar comes through with some Belgian yeast, and a bit of floral hops. The finish is a mix of sweet bready malts with coriander, orange peel, Belgian yeast, cedar, and a touch of ginger.
M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, sweet, and estery finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice strong Saison with some good spices thrown in and the cedar adding some nice complexity. AGAquino (667) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Tasting three beers of the Dos Costas Oriente series, Cedar, Gapefruit and Lemon, courtesy of Sammy. Cloudy golden colour w/. Tall foamy head. Great aroma of citrus and over ripe fruit. Flavours of jammy fruits, orange zest and grapefruit. S_Side_Smitty (775) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2012 Pours a golden amber with a small head. Aroma is smoke and freshly cut cedar. The coriander taste is prevalent along with the cedar up front and there is a black pepper-like bite in the finish that alludes to carbonation. Different and interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow color with minimal head. Tons of cedar on the nose. Flavor is simply awesome. Boozy without being overwhelming considering the 9%. Excellent collaboration. bearbrew (4) - brawley, California, USA - MAR 26, 2012 does not count
thanks to jcartdamg for sending me this along with a killer CCB box!
Pours an effervescent quickly dissipating head. Aroma ruby red grapefruit juice, with a hint of mint, blending in with a citrus bouquet and a fresh cedar cigar box . Yellow golden hue with slight cloudiness. Not a saison fan, but i am really enjoying this beer, refreshing with a slight tartness. Overall a great beer reminds me of grapefruit juice not as bitter. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2012

This just happened to be the cask of the week when I made my first (and definitely not last) visit to the Cigar City Tasting Room. Really, really good stuff. daje (4436) - NORWAY - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, july 24th 2014. Hazy golden body with a big lively white head. Aroma of cedar, grapefruit, funk, taste is funky with heavy cedar and notes of grapefruit, red apples, orange zest and wood. Delicious! Dry fruity finish, lasting fruit aftertaste. A nice one!
