thanks to jcartdamg for sending me this along with a killer CCB box!
Pours an effervescent quickly dissipating head. Aroma ruby red grapefruit juice, with a hint of mint, blending in with a citrus bouquet and a fresh cedar cigar box . Yellow golden hue with slight cloudiness. Not a saison fan, but i am really enjoying this beer, refreshing with a slight tartness. Overall a great beer reminds me of grapefruit juice not as bitter. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2012
Shared 750ml bottle. Orange pour with a 2+ finger white head. Big cedar nose with spices and bright fruit. Med body with cedar, vanilla, dark fruits and citrus. Semi dry finish with dark fruits, cedar and vanilla. jamesostrand (1) - - AUG 7, 2012 does not count
This just happened to be the cask of the week when I made my first (and definitely not last) visit to the Cigar City Tasting Room. Really, really good stuff. daje (4548) - NORWAY - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, july 24th 2014. Hazy golden body with a big lively white head. Aroma of cedar, grapefruit, funk, taste is funky with heavy cedar and notes of grapefruit, red apples, orange zest and wood. Delicious! Dry fruity finish, lasting fruit aftertaste. A nice one! Pours dark deep gold with off white head. The aroma offers up apricot, peach, pear and apple mixing with salty malts, a mild pepper note and hints of yeastiness. Hmm. The taste is full of pears, apples and apricots blended with notes of grainy malts and funky yeast. It gets both salty and a bit peppery to midway with growing yet mild levels of spicy cedar. Interesting.

I could drink this beer by the gallon. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Nose is cedar, lemon, sweet malt, yeast, spices, and wood. Flavor is similar- cedar up front followed by lemon, citrus, and sweet malt. Medium in body, and a delightful biere de garde overall. Complex in its simplicity. rbrazell (1763) - Florida, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Pours a unclear dark gold with a bubbly white head that dissipates quick. Bursting aroma of fresh pine, cedar, spice and yeast. Sweet entry that subdues into light vanilla and wood then quickly into strong cedar wood spice, lemon rind and yeast. Finishes very spicy and dry with a quick note of alcohol. dchmela (3088) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2012
From the 750 ml bottle. Light amber pour with a thin white head. Grapefruit hops barely cuts through the huge cedar wood nose. Clean malt with a big grapefruit hop bite and cedar woodiness. The best of the series. Palidor19 (3194) - Brandon, Florida, USA - MAR 11, 2012
there is an exuberant amount of herbs and spices that I cant ever begin to describe.still the flavor is amazing with a very strong maltiness. while there is a lot of spice the hops are not very strong, still its quite a feat. drseusszb200 (687) - Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2012
poured orange with a great head that stayed around for a while and stuck on the edge of the glass. smelled sour citrus and cedar. tasted tart followed by cedar and bitter aftertaste. great beer
