On tap Cigar City pouring nice and dark with mocha head. The aroma is pretty bold with various spices as well as lesser notes of fruity esters and a light amount of roast. The spiciness does a decent job covering everything else up. The taste comes across bold in spiciness as noted in the nose with cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. It then gets a bit roasty with malts and a touch mineral like too. This was far off on the spicy side. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2011
On draft at CCB. Pours medium brown with a white head. Nose is malt, tobacco, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of smoke. Flavor is similar with lots of spice- vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg with some light chocolate/ cocoa lingering into the finish. Enjoyable take on this one. Medium bodied and a fair amount of spices all over. dchmela (3062) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2011
Tap at CCB. Hazy brown pour with a thin white head. Aroma is spicy cinnamon and nutmeg, overpowering everything else. The taste starts off with lots of the spices like cinnamon and orange peel, but as it warms more roasted grain and oatmeal smoothness start to pop out. Nice sessionable brown ale. steelcitybrew (454) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 28, 2011

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is an interesting mix of spices. Exotic Indian spices. Cardamom, cinnamon, and maybe coriander. Tastes like the aroma. It creates an inbalance in flavor. The spice overpowers the rest of the brew. I think a little tweaking to this (a little less spice) would make a great beer. Finishes with too much spice.
