Draft… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… Pours tar black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head that never fully dissipates. The nose is of campfire and industrial smoke merged with a mocha blend of dark chocolate and Cuban-roast espresso. I’m also picking up a faint note of licorice. Full-bodied and velvety with feathery carbonation. The flavor is burnt and very bitter with an intermingling of smoked meat and charcoal. Finishes carbonic and bitter. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Pours a nearly black color, light brownish head. Smoke, char, chocolate and coffee aroma. Flavor is smoke, ash, asphalt, some nice burned BBQ chicken skin...hell yeah. mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 11, 2012
On tap at Hunahpu’s Day 2012. Pours dark with a bit of brown lacing. Slight smoky aroma on the nose. Tastes like the bottom of a charcoal grill. Delicious. blipp (9782) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Draft. Pours near black with a tan head. Roasty and smokey aroma, with coffee, light sweetness, and maybe a hint of ash. The flavor has roasted malts, coffee, and some light smokey notes. Good stuff. jredmond (8769) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2012
UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 Long-life, show your face. Slow-heart, curb your taste. Smoke me out of my hiding place. Long-life, state your case. What in the world are we waiting for? Building glowing cities along the shore, where the wind batters in baiting my kin like a matador.

A Mes rate. Tap at Blind Tiger. burg326 (5613) - Florida, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Black, ashy and amazingly smoky. Dry as hell, lengthy bitterness, some chocolate and coffee. Straight forward, maybe even a little one dimensional but enjoyable all the same.
On draft a Cigar City, pours a dark black color with a tan head. Aromas of malt, smoked sausage, coffee, pine, and dark chocolate. Flavor is the same, hit with the smoke first followed by some pine, coffee, and chocolate. Balances very nicely. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2012
On draft at Cigar City. Pours a medium dark stout brown with a tan head. Nose is smoke, dark chocolate, piney bitterness, campfire, and slight band aid. Flavor leans towards the smokey, but lets some other flavors through. I get smoke, campfire, dark chocolate, slight cocoa, and piney bitterness that compliments the smoke so that they blend well. Medium to full in body and a nice smoked stout.
