hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2017
Bottle... Pours murky and brown with a small, short-lived, off-white head. The malty and vinous aroma is a mélange of caramel, dark dried fruits, a light splash of port and toasted tree nuts. Medium to full-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor features maple syrup, caramel, prunes and other dark fruits. Nicely balanced and enjoyable, but this is a strange brew. Bottle courtesy of the Palm Beach County crew!

chinchill (5314) - South Carolina, USA - APR 3, 2017
Large shared bottle of very strong ale. While the alcohol is partially hidden the strong flavor has a profile that suggests high ABV. The cognac barrels no doubt foster this impression. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet and boozy. Full, smooth mouthfeel.

Tmoney99 (14970) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 17, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy dark fruit, wood and sweet alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is was a solid beer.

750 ml bottle shared with Tmoney99 and the group. Pours a murky caramel brown color with a small off white head that settled into a ring. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, orange peel, cacao nibs, light wood, cognac barrel, the orange accented the beer which was appreciated, recently I’ve had a couple beers with orange that dominated the base of the beer.

MarcoDL (5383) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 11, 2016
At Hopishop 2016. Aroma of fruit jam, spices and raisin. Flavor is quite something else, with sweet raisiny jam, spices that must be the bergamot, boozy grape, oak and caramel. Creative and very tasty.

vincentvega72 (886) - Terneuzen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2016
Mooi caramel kleurig bier met fijne witte schuimkraag. Aroma en smaken van rum, rozijntjes, mandarijn, rood fruit. Afdronk zoet, beetje kersenlikeur. Licht alcoholisch, vol in de mond. Hele lange warme afdronk. Subliem.

4.3
