Kind of a mess. Ok to try, but not something you want to consume a bunch of. Spicy nose, malty and spicy taste, thin finish. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Light brown/dark amber pour with a khaki head. Big spice aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Sweet fruit esters, a nice toasted malt nose, and chocolate. The flavor has a touch of butter to it, unfortunately. Otherwise it’s alright. Spicy notes of nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon. Some sweet dark fruit, chocolate, toast, and toffee. jcwattsrugger (12506) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 3, 2013
750ml bottle-tan-mahogany. A-spice-nutmeg, dk fruit, pumpkin, med malt. T-spice-nutmeg, pumpkin, roasty/cocoa-med malt, spice. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 28, 2013
translucent brown, thin cream head, lacing. nose is cinnamon and diacetyl. Flavor less diacetyl, more cinnamon and sugar, thin, hot, vegetable mess emerges in the end. Then I was told it Cigar City. Shocked. nimbleprop (8601) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 23, 2013
750ml bottle pours a clear, dark brown with some clumpy, off white head. Big spiced nose, ginger, nutmeg, clove, some malt. Flavor is overly sweet and too spiced, clove, ginger, almost artificial tasting. Full, sickly finish.

750mL thanks to nmann08. Pours a clear, deep ruby looking black in the glass. Decent foam. Nose is very rancid diacetyl, one of the worst I’ve encountered. Spoiled dairy abounds while some pumpernickel bread and pumpkin spice try to come through as the intended. In taste there is brown sugar, whole grain crust, typical CCB lemon acid, pumpernickel. Palate is slick, rancid old dairy. An extreme case of diacetyl. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - APR 14, 2013
This was a unique take on a brown ale - all the nuttiness was there in the aroma but with lots of seasoned salt and what I thought was oregano. Luckily the flavor isn’t potent with any of these - just some light all-spice and stale chocolate with a dry roasty finish. If this beer is supposed to be art.. it needs to be stronger. And barrel aged. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - APR 14, 2013
Not my favorite brown ale but not bad. Aroma is big raw spices, some toasted malt, and light chocolate. The spices come through surprisingly heavy. Flavor is dominated by spices but not overbearing. Roasted malt and some breadiness are in the background. OK I guess. BeerandBlues2 (13669) - Escondido, California, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle shared by Nate. Pours clear brown with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy spices, dates and figs with cookie and caramel malt. Flavor is malt and spice dominant, dark fruits, no hops and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Travlr (25558) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle courtesy of Nate, thank you sir! Hazy brown color, bright beige edge head. Aroma of spice laced brownies. Taste is Christamas and egg nog spices and chocolate brownie mix.
