Poured at What The Funk. Pours a hazy orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong guava and lemon. Thin mouth, similar flavor to nose, nice tartness, some oak, very nice. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - APR 17, 2014
Poured a cloudy orange color with aromas of light funk, sour guava, a touch of yeast and some wet wood. Flavors were the same, ok overall, but was missing something. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2013
Tried this at the brewery when it was on tap. I assume this is going to get merged with the Lacto Guava Grove at some point. But as listed it was "Sour Guava Grove". Pours a little murky yellow-orange with a small creamy head on top. Aroma of vinegar, acetone, some guava, yeast funk. Flavor comes through similarly with vinegar and acetone taking over a bit too much. The guava is there, but this beer has an unpleasant finish. Light bodied, but very grainy texture and a bit off-putting. Dry finish. I just didn’t like this much. Might have to try it again in the bottled Lacto version. A miss for me, and I enjoy the previous farmhouse version. dimenhetfield (2554) - , Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2013
On draft at Funky Buddha Lounge. This was a great beer before but not it’s just reached a certain level of awesomeness. Nice and tangy, sour and tart all around. Extremely drinkable as well. DrewFace (970) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Growler courtesy of Homer321. Pours a clear amber color. Aroma is sour, vinegar. Flavor has some fruit character but mainly acidic dominate flavor. So much better than regular guava grove on my opinion. Very delicious.

Growler shared by umr_urgefan at the Side Project release bottle share- thanks again, Paul! Pours a cloudy orange-gold with a small white head. Notes of guava, caramel, cardboard, toasted sugar, lemon, vinegar, and a super sugary-sour candy note, like Lik-M-Aid. Light-medium bodied, with a tart, acidic mouthfeel and medium-high carbonation. Not a great sour. Reynolds314 (3472) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Aroma is nice and rich with guava and a bit of lactic lemony aroma. Taste however is vinegar without much complexity. Really sharp lemony vinegar with very very mild acetone. Not great but not vile either. Somewhere in between Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Growler thanks to Collin, very fruity, lightly bitter, lightly tart, pretty decent Jesterdeal (1986) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - JAN 26, 2013
From what I hear, this is actually just a spoiled batch of Guava Grove so it’s very appropriate that we treat it as a wild ale. Aroma was guava, nail polish remover, and a sour cherry. Pours orange and hazy. Taste had a good blend of tropical fruit taste but an overall acetone that was very distracting. Kind of crazy. It’s interesting to me that people like CC so much that they’d hype a spoiled brew as a sour ale. Meh. sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 23, 2011
Entering old rates. Bottle shared with Wayne @ CCB.
