The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. Light with a hint of orange.

Can into goblet. Looks like it should. Spicy peppery aroma - you can smell the saison yeast. Taste is as you would expect from the deScription- combo of wheat and saison. Not too tart. Decent hybrid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is way above the average wheat beers out there. You can definitely tell they used a saison yeast in this one. Super bready, spicy and sweet. You get hints of the coriander, but it’s not overpowering. Just compliments the beer. This is super refreshing and could get dangerous, it’s so easy to drink. Highly recommended.

Poured can. Cloudy straw in the glass. Head dies quickly, some fast lacing. Nose is citrus wheat. Palate follows suit to style, lemon up front, wheat balance through the middle. Finish has a little tart lemon. Coriander bounces around in there.

Picked up a six of this in cans at Trader Joe’s in St Pete and very glad I did. I liked this beer a lot as it worked in many ways. Light enough to be an easy drinker on the beach without being wimpy. Spicy enough to hold its own with some thai food. And just really well balanced with wheat, orange and spice. If it had just a tang of lemon tartness I’d call it perfect.

Can. Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma has coriander, wheat, and orange peel. Flavor is delicate but surprisingly full of agave, coriander, cream and orange peel. Crisp, mildly frothy, slightly spicy, dry, delicious. Thanks for the trade JB.

On tap @ Cigar City. Pours heavily cloudy whitish yellow with medium thick white head that fades quickly. Aroma is sweet yeasty banana notes, light citrus on the back. Taste is clean lightly sweet crystal malt, light wheat undertones, slight saison yeast flavor, very dry finish. Super pleasant and easy drinking.

Very refreshing beer with just a hint of orange at the taste, quite light, weel balance with a dry finish, would be very good on a hot summer day.

Really well done. Love the light base and the subtle saison notes. Really light hazy lemon colored pour. Tight white head. Drinks clean, crisp and spicy and finishes dry. Super refreshing. Great summer brew.
