The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Floridas Palmetto Prairies. Called Ququeros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nations oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

It pours pale yellow with a full white head. The head retention is strong with plenty of lace. It has aromas that feature earthly elements, lemon, coriander, wheat and orange. It has a spicy taste with the coriander and orange in the forefront. There is a strong wheat and lemon presence as well. Earthly elements and other spices round out the taste. It has a moderately light body with a spicy dry aftertaste. Overall, this is a lighter beer with plenty of spices, orange and lemon flavors and earthly elements with a dry finish.

Cant see appearance in can. Taste is bitter hops, not too strong, just bad taste, one-dimensional, no sweetness at all, medium bitter carbonation-bleh

Pours up a hazy yellow, with a thick, white head, some active bubbles, and pretty substantial lacing on the glass. Aroma is some funky yeast, mild coriander spice, with white wheat bread. Taste is also slightly spicy with a hint of citrus rind. There is the spice or white pepper thing, along with metallic tap water. Mouthfeel is light. Not bad.

An excellent slightly non-traditional version of a Belgian witbier, Florida Crackers Saison yeast fermentation brings out interesting spice notes nit present in other similar wits. White pepper and sage mingle with requisite coriander. Light orange tartness in creases the appeal even more. Pours hazy yellow with a small pure white head. A full flavored summer beer that didnt such at all.

A 12 fl oz can with a canned on date of 7th September 2016. Poured into a Spiegelau Wheat Ale glass. It was a slightly hazy golden straw yellow colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left some sparse spotty lacing. Aromas of wheat, coriander, clove and overripe banana sweetness with a hint of citrus peel. Tastes of coriander and wheat upfront with a touch of lemon citrusness. However after that, the taste just suddenly falls off to almost nothing. Dry-ish, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall it was certainly refreshing and quite nice when it first hits your mouth, but after that, I felt that its main problem appeared which was that the taste just falls off really quickly to nothing after the initial hit.

Bottle shared with JMD 16.02.17. Hazy yellow. White head and lacing. Strong aroma of coriander and wit beer. Similar taste, with green bananas, lime and lemon. Tart, unripe green banans and coriander in aftertaste.
