COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Can. Cloudy gold with a moderate, foamy white head. Spices abound in the nose along with soft orange peel, toasted wheat and yeast notes. Taste is sweet malt, wheat, toasted grains, light citrus, soft spice and candied fruit. Body is light-medium with a soft, bubbly and creamy feel on the palate. Ends with more spices, sweet fruit, wheat, toasted grains and yeast. Refreshing summer beer!

A light yellow beer, a head is quite small and white. Aroma has wheat, lemon and coriander. Traditional but with a good intensity. Taste has strong lemon and coriander, some lemon peel and sourness. Refreshning and light bodied. Refreshning but also nicely strong.

oobawa (1409) - Tennessee, USA - JUN 9, 2017
On the yeasty side for a witbier, mellow and nondescript except for the doughy tartness that pops up on the fade. Good wit nose, fresh and floral, grassy with a smidgen of orange and banana. Appearance is mediocre, slightly hazed but lacking much head or lacing. Taste starts wheaty, some banana-clove notes but mostly mild, almost pilsner-ish in its moderation, then kicks in with the yeast. Finishes bready and a bit thin, the adjuncts adding slight depth but relegated mostly to the periphery. Good, sparkly saison feel, but otherwise a slightly-above-average witbier.
