COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Aroma: bready cereal. very citrusy, like OJ almost. sustained honey sweetness from the wheat malt. peppery-like spices. Appearance: pours a very hazy straw color with an inch thick frothy white head that unfortunately (and longevity is expected in this style) dissipates rather quickly leaving a thin 1/8" head. Taste: very citrusy orange juice with plenty of malt sweetness and just enough bitterness for balance only. coriander creates a peppery sensation. Palate: the body is medium, the texture creamy, carbonation is crisp and astringency subtle. right on. Finish is long and sweet with all its citrusy glory lingering. Overall: I like this beer a lot although the citrusy levels and spicy character are a bit more in your face than expected for the Belgian Wit category. But it works. Refreshing and delicious. Only fault is the weak head retention which is characteristic of Wits.

Pours orange with a thick, foamy head. Aroma is a little lacking, some orange and a little coriander. Flavour is lacking too. A little coriander but thats it.

Pours hazy straw color with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of orange mixed with an earthy note. Body is light, with a brief finish. Sweet, citrusy flavor with a mild spice note from the coriander underneath. Some earthiness as it warms.

Can from Total Wine, Fredericksburg. Pours hazy golden with a large, soft white head. Aroma is white bread, coriander, little else. Flavor is banana (missing from the nose), coriander, yeast, dough (or more like flour, I suppose). Flavor is good.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a full 2 fingers of foam. Banana, coriander crackery malt. Crisp and clean, nice dry, peppery notes, touch of orange zest. Pretty great American take. Dry finish. Diggin’ it.

Hazy pale blond colour. Aroma and flavour are quite light and plain. Close to Hoegaarden. Perhaps with a drier finish.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2017 Pours a hazy gold with a short lived fizzy white head. Smells of orange, coriander. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter, mildly spiced - smooth but complex wheat profile with notes of orange.

Can. Cloudy gold with a moderate, foamy white head. Spices abound in the nose along with soft orange peel, toasted wheat and yeast notes. Taste is sweet malt, wheat, toasted grains, light citrus, soft spice and candied fruit. Body is light-medium with a soft, bubbly and creamy feel on the palate. Ends with more spices, sweet fruit, wheat, toasted grains and yeast. Refreshing summer beer!
