Enjoyed on tap at Rattle N Hum. Vanilla in aroma. Dark coloured body with a faint head, and leaving a lace sheet. Hoppy, a bit sour in the finish not unusual in a brown. Vanilla gives it a bit of sweetness, but does not ad to drinkability. blipp (9278) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 4, 2011
Draft. Pours red brown with an off white head. The aroma has loads of vanilla, caramel, and toast. The flavor has vanilla, light roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Nice. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Poured up on tap at Mark’s amazing Mr. Beery’s CCB Total Tap Takeover. It has a murky deep amber body with tan head. The aroma jumps up and down with rich vanilla followed by oaky spices and then raisins and nuttiness. The taste is smooth and starts with subtle sweet malts, sweet nuttiness and sweet vanilla and then picks up roasted malts, oak, spicy oak and then more vanilla. It stays vanilla like with nuttiness, sweet malts and slight oak heading into the finish along with a faint lingering raisin sensation. jredmond (8285) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2012 Draft at RnH for the Cigar City event. Pours a dark, blackish brown body. Aroma is great vanilla notes and slight sweet cinnamon. Mouthfeel is medium and crisp with notes of brown sugar, vanilla, roast, and cinnamon.

Sample split with Pat in NYC. Pour was a dark brown, small tan head. Aromas of cinnamon raisin, vanilla, oak. Taste was chocolaty, french vanilla, cashews, clove spice, ultra sweet malts. Silky mouth that went down like water. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Draft. Pours a bruin body with a tan head and great retention. Very faint vanilla and mineral notes, light chocolate and roasted malt body. Dry and bitter with a very faint vanilla. I like that the vanilla is not sweet and cloying like i expected. My notes here are rather lacking but this was very quaffable and i ended up having seconds. Very nice. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Poured a dark brown color with aromas of oak, vanilla and a touch of earth. Flavors are the same with an oaky vanilla flavor light popcorn aftertaste, a nice beer overall. jcartamdg (3436) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Pours dark brown with a paper thin head. Aroma of vanilla, oak and maduro brown. Not bad. A little artificial. But crazy drinkable.

interesting French style authentic vanilla flavor yet still beery with a hop profile and malt. a moderate body and balance of cocoa the brew is a little syrup like and somewhat flat in the carbonation. a bit of a toasted wheatiness that seems almost nutty.
